This morning I have logged on to find all my posts deleted from yesterday [ not such a bad idea i hear you cry! ]. Also sent messages in my inbox have disappeared. Threads have emerged that have been going for a day or so, which I have never seen before until now. If this is going to continue I can see people not bothering to post.
 
Threads appear to have gone missing due to issues with the website hosting - at some point yesterday evening the forum database seemed to roll back about 12 hours.
 
I thought at first that some moderator had simply had a fit of rage but it seems to have been a bit more serious than that.
 
I would advise you if you posted something that you needed to keep you should back it up on say WORD (I have copies that I've wanted to keep in word) so if this happens you still have a copy p/m's and all......hindsight's a brilliant thing to have????????????but no I fully realised the implications!!(after the master deleter started his actions 20 months ago) :rolleyes: if you don't :o
 
I agree with Catacol - luckily the thread I think he's on about seems to have disappeared entirely.

I agree totoally woth JduCF too - who'd want to do it?!

had you not deleted over 40000 threads in the last year,no one would have thought that you did the dirty yesterday. :lol: :lol:

But you have and therefore you have only yourself to blame if you are under suspicion when the manure hits the fan. B)

However,having been guilty as sin over in the past,i find it ironic that you await any king of apology on the only occasion that you are not guilty. :D :D

Fer God's sake, people! Calm down, calm down... I've no idea what's been going on, but it seems to have happened after we experienced lots of logon problems, 'Mail Error' and other messages. Whatever it is, it's regrettable that topics disappeared, but have they gone for good, or can Col find them in some dank dungeon are resuscitate them?

Why the threat towards Derek, Ardross? Aren't we Mods supposed to have a consensus of agreement on actions, or can any of us make free with the forum as we wish? If no-one likes a post, they only have to ignore it. If it's truly disgraceful, it can be deleted and the forum informed that it has been. I can't see anything that Derek's put up that's objectionable to the point of banning - again. Some people may not like him, but then some people don't like you, and some - deluded fools that they are - don't like me. So what?
 
It's getting weirder ....

I'm on the 'phone to Diminuendo at the moment and she tells me that when she goes into the front page of the forum she's on one version but when she clicks into a section (e.g. General Chit Chat) she's on the other ...........
