I have noticed that in several recent postings :D :shy:  MERLIN :) :( !!! has alluded frequently to his various relatives being nuerologists married to GPs and cousins who are dentists etc. The success of his family has made me envious.

The relative I am most proud of is cousin Gobnet, who is a relief supervisor in an office cleaning company.

Do y'all have important relatives too?

My sister, who has managed to squeeze out four weans in her short life and now lives off "the system".

She has also emigrated to England, so I don't feel that it costs me a penny.

Oh God yes - I'm most proud of my cousin who has, shock-horror!!!!! :o :o made our family international and married an Aussie!! :o :D

Mind you, my paternal grandfather started it by marring a KRAUT!! :o :D

One of my cousins was once on fifteen-to-one.

The best man at my parents wedding was once in the top four of the British Open and his christian name was Gaylord.

I had an uncle who was killed in the civil war in 1922. I don't think that he particularly supported either side, rather he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. This didn't stop him being referred to as a hero, of course.

Another one of my father's brothers was a guard in San Quentin.

I'm also very closely related to LBC's Breakfast Show host, who is a bit of a poker commentator too.

:o :P AN the dentist is unrelated only have two in the medical profession.......... :o :D :P    :shy: :o

But I tell you what? I am Glad to see you reading my threads again!! now......

I've got loads of medics in the family - on my Dad's side it's positively frowned upon not to be a medic!! I've got at least one consultant cardiologist, one consultant (can't remember what specialty), one consultant neurologist, two radiographers, one dentist, one midwife, one paeditrician in the family!!

My Uncle Muddy (a keen musician) and Aunt Virginia (a keen runner) were a talented pair.

She must certainly was. A fine woman, married to my Uncle Stormy for over 50 years.

Rod Stewart has a song dedicated to my Uncle Stormy.

Hmmm.... dredging up from the family annals...

My great-great grandfather was the chief organist at St Paul's - that do?

Oh, and my son's paternal great-grandmother was the first lady gardener at Kew Gardens...

My Grandfather was one of Field Marshall Montgomery's Desert Rats as my mother has just informed me!
