Thank you to everyone who took part, it's been a good fun competition to organise. Congratulations to On The Bridle who had the highest daily total from a single bank with £3250, he wins a "Host your own Race Night" DVD boxset, please drop me your details and I'll send on to you, well done!

As for reaching the Final, a big well done to Bar The Bull & moviebuff who've outperformed their opponents at every turn.

The rules for the Final are this:

  • Players will have £2,000 to bet with daily, PLUS an additional £1000 to bet on the big race of the day, either 1000 or 2000 Guineas.
  • There are no restrictions on bet type, but minimum stake for multiples is £10. Only bets on UK & Irish Horse racing taking place on that day will be accepted.
  • Failure to post your selections before the off time of your opponents first selection will result in a stewards enquiry and probable disqualification.
  • The biggest return over the 2 days wins the competition and title of Forum Daddy 2013!.
  • In the event of a match where neither player gets a return, the nearest to draw a return in terms of distance beaten will be the deciding factor in who goes through.
  • In the event of N/Rs and no reserve being posted the stakes will be spread equally amongst all your other selections.
    IMPORTANT rule for the final:
    [*]Should they desire, in addition to the normal bank, players will be able, though not obliged, to play up their returns from Saturday on Sunday.

BTB's NRs have meant an extra £200 placed on each of his non Guineas selections.

Day 1 is over as far as selections go and the standings are thus:

Bar The Bull £1875 & moviebuff £3815

That gives moviebuff the advantage going into Day 2, and means each player has an additional amount available to them if they so wish.

Sunday Banks

Bar the Bull minimum bets of £3000 (including £1000 on 1000 Guineas) maximum £4875.
moviebuff minimum bets of £3000 (including £1000 on 1000 Guineas) maximum £6815.
