Why oh why oh why did Carter go????? He should be with Abby, not buggering off to Paris!! I can't believe that ER without Carter will ever be the same again...

I'm also furious that bloody Ch4 put it back to 9pm this week (presumably to accomodate that shite, Big Brother) - all day I've been looking forward to watching this tonight, turned over to Ch4 about 9.30pm to find it halfway through! Not a happy bunny. Please, Ch4 - repeat it!! I can't get E4! :(

Channel 4 have some great American dramas. As well as the above they have The Sopranos and West Wing, but they always frig about with the scheduling for some reason.

Was a brilliant end to the show, an episode that saved much of the season. Carter was great but this season he has done little for me, Abby's character on the other hand just goes from strenght to strenght and they can build on that next year. Weird how Carter just said goodbye to Abbey as if she was just one of the others.

I turned on to Channel 4 5 minutes ago, to find Big Brother just starting. Can't believe I've missed the last ER of the series. I've got E4 as well but decided to wait until tonight to watch ito n Channel 4, and I can't find it repeated on E4 again!

  Aidan!!!

Triptych - they're bastards, aren't they?? Why bugger about changing the programming times, I howled when I turned it over & it was more than half way through!! (yes, I am in the office still.... )

I agree with you Aidan - just as he was leaving & he looked at Abby, I was hoping he'd change his mind and give up the boring one he's leaving for! :(

You're right too, Aidan, they haven't made as much of Carter's character this season but I'm guessing that's because he's been the focus for the last few series now. It's a shame though, and for me, ER won't be the same without him. I miss Elizabeth too, she was great. Where am I going to get a weekly dose of Noah Wyle now?? I'll have to rely on repeats!!

Well apparently he wanted to spend more time with his family, but has made a couple of films/tv thingys(?) back to back since leaving so no doubt you should be able to see him shortly in another guise! :D

On first reading the title of the thread I thought it refered to the departure of Ian Davies....
I thought it referred to that well known exchange layer Gary who is also off (or should that be not off).

I've caught him twice now in the last 3/4 of an hour of a film starring Michelle Pfeiffer as a woman in prison on bail for murder. MP has a daughter in foster care & Noah Wyle is the husband of Renée Zellweger at one of her foster homes. It seems to be a good film, but having seen the last half of it twice I'm trying to find out what it is so I can watch the full thing!

Jon - the regular hours are still happening, I officially had Monday off but said I'd come in to cover for my old dept as they were short.

I don't follow the programme but I'm told that Noah Wylie has a contract which says that he will be appearing in a number of episodes of ER in the next series.

Fantastic, you've made my day now, Brian! :D

As you are so often right, it also gives me great pleasure to pickup on the surplus letter i in Wyle.... ;) :D
