Why no contingency plans ?

Why is it whenever a meeting is cancelled here there are no contingency plans for rearranging it ? We may add the best races to other cards and I suspect the Sagaro will be added to Newmarket but why is it so difficult to rearrange a meeting ?

In Ireland it seems they just shrug their shoulders and move it a few days without any hoohah . Ascot for example is cancelled on Wed- with the Guineas meeting reduced to 2 days - the racing on Thursday and Friday is crap - why not just move it to Friday if the weather forecast suggests it would be raceable by then ?
 
Kempton AW doesn't have the same ring to it to me. Moved to when Ascot would have been raceable would have been better.

I know the logistics are sometimes awkward but I take Ardross's point. The abandoned Cheltenham Festival still sticks with me that could have been moved slightly and gone ahead.
 
Why is it whenever a thread goes horribly wrong here there are no contingency plans for rephrasing it ? We may add the best points to other threads, but why is it so difficult to rearrange a thread after it's wrong?

On Final Furlong, it seems they just shrug their shoulders and move it without any hoohah . Here threads like this are allowed to continue even when their original point is redundant.
