In case some of you, or perhaps wild life-mad younger members of your family, might be interested, here are two cracking streaming webcams. The first is Derby Cathedral's annual breeding by a pair of peregrine falcons, who have four chicks this year. The babies can be seen night and day on a ledge on the cathedral's bell tower - you might even get to witness, as I did a couple of days ago, one of the parents plucking a meal and feeding it to the babies. Two are slightly behind the others in plumage, but if last year's anything to go by, they'll be flying off their perch at the end of this month. http://www.195.224.106.202/peregrine/webcam.htm
Next cam I watch most days is a South African one called Africam, which watches a waterhole called Nkorho Pan, and another called Elephant Plains. I've seen all kinds of animals and birds with these two, and they're also available night and day - although sometimes there are techie difficulties when lightning strikes during the rainy season (it's raining hard at Nkorho right now), or elephants decide to rearrange the camera positions! http://www.africam.com/wildlife/index.php
