Windows Vista

You don't download it unless you get a pirate copy you have to purchase it on disk and the upgrade costs in excess of £75.........

But no I have not bought it as yet I am sticking with X-P pro........... ;) until all the bugs are fixed ..at least.......

Available to download from £50 from Microsoft themselves via windowsmarketplace.com (minimum spec/upgrade). It depends which version you want.

Personally I would wait until there are a few OEM versions kicking around on CD.

Facility here to download a program called Windows Vista Upgrade Adviser which scans your computer, both hardware and software, and gives you a tasklist of things to do both before and after installing Vista. If you are not sure if it's possible to install Vista on your PC this will give all the info (and warnings :P ) you need.

Out of interest, for anyone who is upgrading (or strongly considering it), what's the major reason that makes you want to?

What's amazed you?
So far the look, the feel and its so much quicker then xp and it actually acts like a computer instead of a wet squid. Im still getting used to it at the minute and have not looked at everything yet... here's a quick screenshot of the control panel and i'll post more tomorrow.

Let me know if you want a specific screenshot.

Heres a few more...

Around half of all downloads are actually malware to lure unsuspecting users to download a trojan. The victim then finds that the Trojan encrypts their data and a ransom note is displayed threatening to destroy the data unless the user pays up.

Your trying to pull the wool over the wrong eyes, :luv:

Quick note on Vista, make sure you have atleast 1gb of ram as it has alot more processes than xp.

Edit..

Arent they silly trying to activate it in December even before the official release from a leaked version, ie not a RTM version. :D Also thats old news, do you not think in the last 3 months since that other people have found different ways around not even activating it. norty
