Did anybody catch Tony Robinson's two part programme on Channel 4 Saturday Night. I like history documentaries anyway but this was top notch.
He found evidence that Edward 4th was indeed illegitimate and traced the Plantagenet line through the ages if the legimate line had suvived after the battle of Bosworth and death of Richard 3rd.
The current living monarch is Michael, Lord (Ashbury?) who emigrated in 1960 to OZ, and doesn't bother with his title. He lives in the country and works researching how to grow the perfect grain of rice. One of the most laid back, engaging happy people you could see, he voted Republican in the Monarchy vote.
A brilliant 2 hours of TV.
