Needed to get all of this off me chest so here goes.

All started when i transferred to the particular betting company I work for as a cashier here in the North West, from South Yorkshire. The nearest shop is approximately 8 miles away and thus it was determined as my "base shop" ie. the one I work in.

Owing to a shortage of staff and manager change around etc in another shop I ended up working there which was a 2 hour bus ride to get to. It's in an exceptionally rough area renowned for drug dealing and the like in a town close to Liverpool. I was assured that once the problems with manager where sorted out and the deputy at the time (in June) or somebody else had been given the job I'd be back at the shop I was originally meant to be in.
This didn't happen as the deputy at that shop wanted "to keep the shop girly" as she told a friend of mine who's since transferred to the shop i seem to work in all the time. With betting shops having a lack of staff as it is and the evening racing etc I did end up doing a few days/nights in there (4 in 3 months in total).

A week ago last saturday there was an armed robbery in said shop and the cashier they were using (from yet another shop but who was female) went off sick as did the duty manager at the time (also from another shop). Now they are stuck for cashiers and having been told the manager would give me a call on Saturday just gone about working there this week he didn't and I got a call off the duty manager at the shop I'm supposedly going to today to ask could i change and go to my base shop instead.

I agreed but only as the guy who is covering for my district manager whilst he's away has been totally left in the crap by the shop manager (who regularly leaves staff on their own for hours on end).
Having a 0 hours contract isn't so bad, i'm going there from 1.30 till 5 today and then going to the shop i'm supposedly in for this evening.

Given how they've treated me in the past with the rota and that and the fact i haven't complained that they've not put me on their rota when i should be if they say anything about workign this evening then :angy:

Thanks for reading.

Martin

tell them where to stick their chsnges if they try to piss you about again......
Or just threaten to leave if you don't get your own way like I do  If they're that short staffed they can't really afford to lose you.
