Xmen 3 - The Last Stand

I loved the first two films, but Brett Ratner is a complete hack compared to Brian Singer so I'm not holding out much hope for this one.

With a bit of luck Gareth the acting talent on hand can negate the skills difference between the directors, i think it looks the nuts though

I have a slight fear of Famke Jannssen (however it's spelt).

But still, liked the first two. If I'm bored I'll probably see it.

Having paid good money in recent years to see Van Helsing and Open Water, whilst I'll never get those four hours of my life back, at least I know it's unlikely I'll ever hit such a low in a cinema again.

I take it you didn't see 'Mystic River', then, Zozzy? Or, as it will be if you do, Zozzzz zzz zz zzzz zzzzzy....

LOL

Oh that doesn't bode well, I bought that on DVD the other week and haven't watched it yet....OH DEAR!

Open Water: had to see it as part of film studies course at college. Took college friend.

We were the ONLY TWO PEOPLE in the main cinema. Yes, we got great seats. Halfway through the guy with the torch was so bored that he left.

We were tempted to have races up the stairs but, frankly, couldn't be bothered. We just cheered for the sharks. When the Charlize Theron-alike drowned herself we gave it a standing ovation. Then we left. Thankfully.

I thought it was excellent too; it exists in an entirely different universe to something like Van Helsing.
