I noticed on the flight home the other day some guys around me watching films on their phones but there's no internet on planes so how do people manage that?

(I tried to listen to my Spotify songs on the plane but couldn't because they're not stored on the phone and there was no internet.)

I presume the films are somehow stored on the phone but, again, that's not the kind of thing I'd know how to do so if anyone can shed any light?

A mate at the men's shed did give me a pen drive with (according to him) about 10000 films on it but I don't want to inconvenience other passengers by trying to find elbow room for manoeuvring my laptop into a position that would allow me to watch in comfort.

Would an iphone be able to store many films anyway?

As ever, any info greatly appreciated.

I've only just noticed this.

Well, you can download stuff to your phone, can't you, and once it's downloaded you don't need an internet connection to view it.

Can't say it's the sort of thing I do - I don't watch movies, TV or listen to music any more plus I'm really tight and don't want to use up storage, but I'm sure other people do it.

I have basic life rules - I won't purchase goods or services off those I suspect already have more money than me, the exception being supermarkets, where I try to only spend money on low-margin food and drink and ingredients so I can cook my own.

These rules severely limit what I can spend money on but these rules give me great joy.

Not giving money to the Gallagher brothers by swerving their reunion tour gigs has been a particular joy.

I've never bought any of their music either.

If literally everyone was like me they'd be unemployed and penniless - and Beatles tribute acts everywhere would know their limitations - what a utopian world that would be.

However, I digress - I think they downloaded the movies before they lost the connection, Maurice!

Isn't that what I said? :ROFLMAO:
