There’s a bit of money in the play pot thanks to Alfred Boucher, Zoffee ( although not much more than money back for him) and Utilis slipping into sixth at 40/1 (although I had to make do with 22/1
) so that gives a bit more room for manoeuvre.
1:50. Everyone and their mother’s uncle seemed to think Dramatised was the stand out 2yo performance at Royal Ascot for her thumping win in the Queen Mary and I’m with the crowd. She hasn’t been out since so progress has to assumed which I’m happy to do despite the fact that the form has not been well franked. Looking for a full bet, but her price is very skinny for my taste and although I think she’ll win I might take a small chance with Mawj instead with Sky money back offer. Will decide nearer the off.
3:35. Pretty difficult to sum up Alpinista with all her foreign exertions, but she must be a worthy favourite and Tuesday, too, has to be respected. Nonetheless, I am going to take a chance with Lilac Road who was knocked about a couple of furlongs out, but got it together and finished strongly into third behind Nashwa in the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood. 11/1 atm and taken each way - fun bet again.
4:45. Manifested ran fourth in a strong race at Sandown (behind Nostrum), then just failed to grab second last time in rotten ground. A small EW to six places again.
