Well, I’ve been going on and on about Primo Bacio as my big bet of the meeting and I finished up maxed out on her after adding twice in the morning. After lunch Pam, my good lady, insisted we go to the nursery to choose plants so I missed the race. Good job I did because even on the reply when I got home I wondered how she was going to win after her slow start and last place running. All was well, though. She won well in the end.

I didn’t know it at the time since I dived straight for her race, but icing on the cake had already been provided by Gisburn in the earlier Newbury race.
Blue Cup and Farhan didn’t show up at all, however.

Tomorrow, there’s only Jumby in the frame at the moment. In his last race at Newmarket he was a fast finishing third to Creative Force having twice been thwarted as he challenged a furlong or so out.
