Yorkshire Oaks

Got 6s on Venus de Milo on Tuesday. Irish Oaks form looks good enough here and The Fugue vulnerable over 12f against a proper staying filly.

I think the ground was very firm today at York and ability to handle it will be a key tomorrow.

I am really surprised with the prices for this race

Emirates Queen 123+, best pedigree in the field, stable in good form, has shown character in the past, looks to be thriving, 2 excellent efforts on this ground, especially last time in France, this course will suit better than deauville, where she run a stormer giving weight to a very good André Fabre fillie, supplemented and stable in very good form.

Moment in Time 119 having a good season, held by EQ

The Fugue. 120? (125t). Two bad runs this season, not sure to train on, bad feeling for me she was not running in the Nassau, stable in good form, too mano doubts , not for me.

Was Coco. 118+t, stable jockey selection, will lack the pace for this on this ground.

Riposte. 120 queally on the other, well beaten in Ireland, has to improve but good pedigree and ground to suit, place claims.

Scintillula. 119, busy campaign, not for me.

Secret Gesture. 120?, likely to prefer softer ground, form not good enough and lacks phisical scope.

Venus de milo. 119p lightly raced, doesnt have the profile of a top class ballydoyle fillie , things will happen to quick for her on this ground.

Nothing really outstanding in this . The Fugue has the best form on offer but I'd rather lay her than back her as she is very beatable.

She's had a few targets this season whereas Lady Cecil has obviously had this in mind for Wild Coco since day 1.

She must have a great chances of adding a Group 1 win to her resume
