The Charles and Camiila wedding fiasco just has to be one of the best comedies around at the moment..

You think God maybe trying to tell Charlie-boy something???

I can just imagine his paddybunce when they told him the Pope had died and there was a possibility the funeral would be on the Friday...

He really does make me pro-republican...
 
Just seen Charlie arriving at Westminster for service - Wot did he look like?!?
Our future King wears a bloody petrol blue suit and black tie alongside all the other black suits. Is he thinking he should stand out from the crowd or, "that bloody man" should have his funeral another day? :angy:
 
That was a dark blue suit and is perfectly acceptable. There are a number of valid - and serious - reasons for the royal family to be criticised, knowing the correct protocol for what to wear isn't one of them.
 
There is now a public perception that this wedding is cursed in some way . Even the street polls are throwing up opinions suggesting Diana or God or both are working against the couple .
It's not that people begrudge he or she their happiness but most people would have prefered that he had a low key wedding in Scotland at best . The reason for the hurry has perhaps been explained by the imminant election . If the Conservatives were in power would they have been so quick to approve the wedding ? No . If the wedding took place after the end of the tax year would the extent of the state funding of Camilla have become more of a public concern and therefore generate more negative publicity?
Why have such a hurried and fraught preparation unless it was necessary to avoid possible further damaging parliamentory and public opposition ?
