I always love the racing at York, but it’s not the happiest of hunting grounds for me from a betting perspective. Today, I had seven tracker horses in play. Four were no bets as I hadn’t seen them this season and a further two were opposing in the same race without any clear air between the. That left me with just the one I’d posted up on the York thread - Flyin’ Solo - which won with a bit in hand.
I’ve only three in the tracker for tomorrow. All in the 2:40 and one - Johan is Reet Hard’s contribution #2 in Noted In Running: Flat thread. Of my two, Matthew Flinders and Shelir, I favour Shelir who was mugged on the post a couple of weeks ago. Perhaps I should say it was his jockey who was mugged since he seemed to think he had it won. Will be waiting for the market to help me decide.
Meanwhile I’m working up to my likely big bet of the meet which is Primo Bacio on Friday (ground permitting).
