News from ABC online today that the Chinese carmaker, Nanjing Automobile Group, will soon be making MG coupes at its new plant in Ardmore, Oklahoma, providing 550 jobs to a state which lost its GM assembly plant (and 2000 jobs) five months ago. Nanjing will locate its global HQ in Oklahoma City and a new research facility at the University of Oklahoma, Norman. The coupes will be aimed at the £20-25,000 sports market. So, a great little British car made by China in the heart of America. Sounds about right to me.
