Great job by the Timeform boys - her essay the highlight of their recent Annual. In it they tell how Zarkava`s triumph in the Arc was the culmination of the Aga Khan`s dream of producing another filly like Petite Etoile (Zarkava`s fifth dam)

Most of those rated superior to Zarkava did so as older fillies. It`s such a shame that New Approach didn`t go to the Arc. Just as Moscow Flyer had Azertyuiop and Dancing Brave had Bering, NA and Zarkava could have made each other.
