ATHERSTONE WARRIOR finished strongly (4th) in the Brocklesbury and I reckon he can pick one up with the experience behind him.

The Lincoln winner MR PROFESSOR absolutely hosed up,and will go up a fair piece for it,but is worth noting for any mile race on soft ground where there's likely to be a strong pace. Newbury Spring Cup looks the fav at the mo, as long ait fulfils the forgiung criteria.

Not for me lads. Last year it was Migration who carried a stone more than Mr Professor and he went on to win a big fat zero.

The year before it was the turn of Johan who went 1 from 6 after.

The handicapper won't miss those involved in the finish..he never does.

Matrika is a filly worth following this season

A couple of examples don't cut it either, Fist.
Year after year it throws up horses to follow,like most of the big Flat handicaps,often pattern race winnners too.
It's axiomatic (in either code) that big prizes attract better horses.
 
Mr Professor already has some back form in a listed race, which was how he got rated 100+ a couple years ago. He could mix it up in groups three's or even the right type of group 2 in time. They say you need a group horse to win these top handicaps. If the handicapper doesn't put him up too much his trainer might try and bag another handicap before even having to up him in grade though. Interesting debate this one.

Had a small ew on Notable Speech for the Guineas.(66/1-Sportsbook)
Wouldn't expect him to beat City Of Troy but he beat today's winner Cuban Tiger comprehensively on only his 2nd start,looks bound to improve, and ought to place,at least.
 
Elegant Man wh won at Newcastle on Friday could be a beast but might need to go to another continent to be seen at his best.A late developing son of Arrogate he won a maiden at Dundalk First time out last October.He was then taken to Kempton where he finished second to yesterdays Meydan winner Rebels Romance.A win in a minor race at Dundalk was followed up with an absolute demolition job at Newcastle on Friday.
The owners are ambitious -I could see them avoiding racing on turf and having a crack at an American Grade 1 on dirt.
 
Coral go 25/1 for Breeders Cup classic-a disgusting price.Typical of bookies these days -they seem to be more interested in fooling the absolute mugs than actually taking a bet.
We are talking about a horse that has won a Newcastle handicap being priced at 25/1 for a Breeders Cup Classic.True odds are probably about 200/1.
 
Backed Rock Hopper 7.00W yesterday, after a bad trip in a strongly run contest at Southwell.
It wasn't his day, for whatever reason, but promise shown in his previous race should not be forgotten.
 
I backed Rock Hopper when he won the Hardwicke in the stewards room from Topanoora.

Inrigued that Ryan Moore swerved Kempton and the Curragh yesterday, to ride Capulet at Chelmsford.
Clearly well thougt of, he was outpaced over this sharpish 1m and looks one to note in future, (has a Dante entry,plus both Derbys).

Flat racing on decent groud at Nexmarket , Tuesday.
Reckpn Spirit Genie (3.40) will endorse the Lincoln form.
 
As per the conversations on here about whether the Lincoln winner could step up to listed or group level. Astro King won the Cambridgeshire and tackles the group three Earl Of Sefton tomorrow. I give him a sqeak myself if he's in his very best form.

Dutch Decoy Most unlucky yesterday in the 1m h'cap at Newmarket.
Has an entry in a valuable 9f contest at the same track in a fortnight's time and, as a Cambridgeshire winner, will likely improve for the step up.

Don't mean to sound arsey and pedantic, but he's not a Cambs winner, Reet.

Anyway, I had my eye on him last season. He's battle hardened in the top handicaps. I agree there should be a prize or two, or three, ahead of him this summer.
