Feels more like receiving an invoice TBH. The worst is the 'bosses' invite when you are invited as a pro forma act of courtesy. Hate them I do.

[Of course the two wedding of my kids this year were exceptions. Absolutely everybody wanted to be there.]
 
Unfortunately, they don't go without incident, and you always manage to upset some family member. For me, it just emphasised a lesson of life, you cant please all of the people all of the time.
We had 65 guests at ours, Church Wedding & Reception at local independant hotel. The cost was £8k. Most enjoyable day of my life so far!
