A meeting fully deserving of its own thread.
Most intriguing runner for me tomorrow is this Quais De Paris in the Nathaniel Lacey…..and the intrigue is mainly about his price.
There doesn’t appear to be any superstars in waiting in the field, yet this totally unexposed Mullins-trained/Townend-ridden animal is available at 5/1?
He’s never gone a yard further than 2m1f to date (3rd in a Compeigne hurdle to a horse that ran up a sequence in Graded Chases at Auteuil), and is bumped-up over a half-mile in trip here. He holds both Ballymore and Bartlett entries, and would appear to be preferred to one-time talking horse Grangeclare West. Good Land and the Twiston-Davies runners are respected, but I absolutely have to get involved at 5/1 on this yoke, who very-much fits into the could-be-anything bracket.
I really liked Gala Marceau’s run against Lossiemouth, after a long break. She didn’t jump well in the early part of the race, but kept on doggedly after the winner when she went on, and looked like she would improve a fair bit for the outing. She might not have the guns to beat the fave, but she looks an each-way freebie at 5/1.
The Irish Arkle is a belter, and I’ll roll with my ew tilt at Saint Roi, and hope the hold-up tactics do the trick.
I just want to see Galopin win with his head in his chest tomorrow. It will be a major disappointment if he’s dragged into a real race, tbh.
Haven’t looked at the back-end of the card in much depth, and might give it a miss altogether - especially if I’ve shot-out on the front-end.
