What is the story with Amirite?
Not a great deal of evidence to suggest he's well in, but has come close to biggish wins at around this mark, and has been backed to win before. A shortish price, nevertheless, given that he's only managed to win once in his career. And just the one run over hurdles this year, presumably to protect his mark for this? I can't work it out.
 
Having followed him since his very first novice chase, I've been after Lounge Lizard for the Topham. I wanted to back him in last year's race but he knocked himself and was a NR. He's tackled the fences before and simply loved them; jumped like a stag. I got 25/1 ante post then again at 20/1. With these fences and the size of field, it's a lottery but this is the horse I've been waiting for in the race I've been waiting for.

I'll also do, for bits ew, The Goffer and Minella Dream

A mark of OR155 is lenient on old form for this one-time Champion Chase runner up, who seems a bit of a spring horse and gave Edwardstone a good kicking over the Mildmay Course a few years ago.

Still only a 9yo, one has had to add him to Ginny's Destiny in one's Tophamfolio.

What a race!

Ginny's Destiny had me living the dream until his jumping fell apart then, from out of the clouds, THE GENTLEMAN stormed home to save the day!

Massive kudos to Robicheaux and Generous1991 plus anyone else who was also on.

You can't beat a good "Tophamfolio!" 😂

Yes! I was thinking about that article that said you're much better off racing prominently, and when I saw GDM at the back clouting one I feared that was it for him ...
 
So my long-fancied Lounge Lizard blows out and the post-mortem is that he wanted to get a decent start so that he could be up with the leaders but, unfortunately, his mistake at the first scuppered that plan and it was 'catch-up' all the way.
Of course he jumped well and that vital mistake at the first was probably his only one of the race. :(
