What are you backing Today? Part 2

PONT 5:08 THANKUAPPRECIATE 25/1 (UK Books 18's and 20's). Got a 10% bonus on the muliplyer wheel too.
Tough draw to overcome, might run badly, might break badly. I have a feeling the CD will suit on the going. The weight turnaround with Fierce on their running at Beverley in April, should see it ahead fo that one (if it gets away OK).
Stakes have to be small, as there's a lot of risk involved and the draw is a big negative too.
I took 33s last night but like you you never know what to expect.

Just seen probably the most unbelievable finish I think I've ever seen at Kempton. Just Wow!

I think more of a visual than anything spectacular. Was a good run, but they went steady through the race and only the winner clocked higher than 40mph. Very little interest in the AW these days, but I'd avoid all those behind and everyhting that's run around them recently.

Just woke from a strange dream where I was pushing a tea trolley through some offices. In one office there was a bit of excitement because there was a blue Budgie flying about. I managed to catch it and she informed that her name was Rosetta. Must check todays ABC of runners later.

Rosie Brown goes in the 8.05 Sligo. Rosie Blue would've been better.

Sadly there's nothing budgie - related that I can find heheh

As the wonderful Shergar Cup takes centre stage this weekend I have decided to look for a decent priced winner elsewhere.
The reasoning being that most of the jockeys involved have little or no experience around Ascot.
I seem to recall that another forum member was a fan of Geoff Oldroyd whose last three runners were:
26/7 Air Force One won at York 15/2
27/7 Project Geofin won at Pontefract 11/1
02/8 Big Leader won at Thirsk 6/4

He tends to targets races up to a mile on northern tracks.

His sole entry this weekend is:
Monsieur Bondy in the first race at Redcar on Saturday over 7 furlongs.
On his debut he finished third behind two previous winners, he was keen early which was to be expected ran on but not given too hard a race once no chance of winning.
The sixth placed horse Breakdancer won last night for Simon & Ed Crisford going clear at the finish.

There are no prices for the race as yet but I will put it up now before I've backed it (just for you Ian!!!).
It's an eight horse race so there is an opportunity for all you each way lovers to get involved!!!
