The Will Win Thread

Fair enough. Can people please stop posting losers in the "Will win" thread then? It shouldn't be allowed really...

I'm taking the piss mate. Take anything I say on here with a pinch of sarcastic salt 😄

I was going to back Lavender Gold in the 5.30 at Windsor, but it got completely smashed overnight. I don’t think I know anything extra that isn’t already priced in. One thing to look out for is how he behaves before the race — as my friend, who’s as good a form judge as I know, put it: “In Tipperary we’d call him fair ignorant.” If he behaves himself he’ll win, but at the current prices he can win away.

That's the definition of an ignorant horse.

Haydock 2.00
Pralognan 3/1 or better

“It’s not 2002” was something I used to say when someone tipped up a Tony Martin-trained horse on Twitter. Well, now it seems the markets feel the same. This opened up 9/4 but is now trading at 10/3. The models and market sentiment don’t currently see it as a sexy-type.

But the horse has a lot going for it on the formbook, and getting a patient ride in an amateur race from Derek O’Connor could be a distinct advantage. I think the 2002 price would be closer to accurate than what the current 2025 market is offering.

The rule I try my absolute hardest not to break is “don’t back drifters” - oh, go on then :)
