Oh I think physically he is in a different league to Camelot. This quote summed it up as I have never heard Aidan speak like this about a horse and there seems a deep seated affection for him that I don't think was always there. The horse has earned it and that's unusual for Ballydoyle who usually know what's what from the "get-go"

He's a dude all right. The top horses tend to be bolshy. Montjeu was the same apparently. Galileo unusual I being tough as they come but fairly laid back. Will be fun waiting to see his offspring.x

They did a job on him without any of their regular jockeys. If that were a football match, it’s a professional foul on Clifford Lee. Amazing how beautifully they stitched him up.

Just home.
The ground was dead yesterday; they did not use two tracks as in previous years which may have been a mistake.
Better ground middle to near side ; once on it you were home.
The wind facing them for the first few races today had to be experienced; I was nearly blown off the road five miles north of Junction 12 , the Curragh turn off.
Thankfully it eased for the Gp1 races.
Eve J-H's horse is one tough cookie; he wanted to win Champagne Fever style but is compact so may not train on but I thought the same of Generous way back when...he won Dewhurst at 50/1.
AL Riffa did his thing with aplomb and great to see the German runner do so well at a huge price; he was one of the last off the bridle.
In fairness the weekend delivered despite the weather warnings; luckily we escaped the worst of it both days.
 
Twitter/X certainly hasn't improved over the numerous years I've read it.

Though there are many good people on other forums, TH is honestly the best racing/betting forum I've been on and the functionality gives it a feel that is more 21st century than dawn of internet 1990s.

This place has contributors who are: good judges, make incisive comment, don't sit on the fence and there's humour too.

I've never enjoyed TH more than I do at the moment.

Which means you'll all never be rid of me (every silver lining has a cloud).

As much as i try to stay away from political chat here.

I think bracketing those under the same breath is a bit wrong. Tommy Robinson is Tommy Robinson.

Charlie kirk just got shot through the throat in front of a load of kids. It's hardly guff.

The point is more that when you aren’t on social media, you see these stories, realise it’s awful, and leave it at that — rather than reading thought after thought after thought on it. It was two days later I realised he’d died, because I’m no longer consumed by the latest talking points from X.
 
Im not on social media myself. But someone sent me the film of him being shot about 10 minutes after it happened.

Some things I'm sure people, especially kids aren't meant to see is guy bleeding out after being shot in throat is probably one of them. God knows what damage it does.

Mad world.
 
I have never been on Twatter or whatever it's called these days - easiest way of saying the wrong thing in the heat of the moment and fecking your life up as a result. Plus I find it rather sad that people get excited when a Sleb likes one of their comments as it clearly doesn't mean the start of a close personal relationship with said Sleb. And said Sleb is only posting to their "adoring" fans to get more adulation - in my book that's pretty sad. Instagram I have but more for my business and I'm not sure I'm really doing that right...:rolleyes:

I do Facebook but I keep it private so I am only interested in actual friends. I do go on Reddit but more for the amusement than anything else and I ignore everything else.
