QIPCO British Champions Day

Slim's right, the straight track races are just unbettable. You needed to be standside in the sprint and farside in the QEII. Unreal.

FWIW I think Calandagan and Kalpana are two bridle ponces together - but nothing could get Kalpana "at it" just now, whereas I suspect Calandagan will have to fight.

It wouldn't be a Saturday afternoon without me aftertiming I've got a small Kalpana/Calandagan related-contingency form double going, but it's only a saver - I really want Delacroix for that cracking ante-post bet you steered me towards and obviously I'm gutlessly with Ombudsman too.

Anything else wins and I'm sulking until the Balmoral.

I’m really looking forward to this race. I’ll be right or wrong, but f%*& me, what a race.

The horse without the pacemaker benefits from the pacemaking of his opponents. Why were the others sitting so far back? In a strongly run race.

No excuses. Best horse won. Always looked like these two would come through to fight it out.

At least I backed either of the first two to win aswell.

I would have preferred Soumi not to have been quite so far back - but just interviewed he sounds like he didn't get the same feel off him as last time. Maybe they shouldn't have gone for this but headed to Del Mar Turf instead. He drifted in the betting too which I guess indicates the "Lads" weren't on?

He was just never beating the first two here.

He is seriously beautiful  and will hopefully produce lovely babies! His mum was a champion so he's bred in the purple.

A tremendous thread (apart from the mention of the sponsor in caps in the title, obviously).

Many congratulations to Slim.

Yet another TH masterpiece for the archives.
