The remaining November Meeting races at Cheltenham

Great recovery by JJ Slevin.

I appreciate that Jonbon may not have enjoyed the ground but I am thinking more and more that these good Hendo horses are so treated like divas and when a little thing upsets them (mistake at the water here), they sulk. Or am I being unfair? Seems to be a recurring theme with them though.

Nah, he's just a c*** of a horse. Always has been.

That's a worry. Exactly the same as two years ago. Except it was frost. They ran on the Friday then couldn't get the frost covers down again in time for the Saturday. What they SHOULD have done is not raced today and saved the ground, allow the rain to soak in and added todays races to Saturday and Sunday cards.

In between chatting shit I've taken a look at the lucky last . OK Alphonse is thrown in on flat form but his old hurdle form is still in the book 0-7. The Skelton horse also has claims but needed first time headgear last time to to prevail and not by much. Alphonse could bolt up or just simply down tools. Skeltons horse would be more reliable to be on the scene and should be there or thereabouts.

The same could be said though of both French emperor and Lucky bere who came from the same race last time out and both took the eye but in a very different manner. French emperor traveled like a dream throughout made a bit of a mess of the last hung a bit on the run in until Bowen straightened him out and he went on to see it out well. Lucky bere on the other hand got a bit outpaced before rallying late on finishing strong. The ground at Worcester that day looked a lot softer than described so hoping tomorrow's surface doesn't pose a problem. Taking into account the greater stamina test tomorrow it might be hard to split them although personally I think Frenchy will uphold the form. The way I rate that race they are not too far behind what Fortune de mer has achieved and they are entitled to have come on from that. It was Lucky beres seasonal debut and first run since a wind op. For French Emperor it was seasonal and handicap debut and only its 4th run under rules. Trainer Nicky Martin has had 4 winners from 4 runners this season so is bound to flag up in Walsworths hot trainer system by mid July.

Perhaps the most interesting and useless tit bit from that day depending on how you view it is that White noise who won the race prior at Worcester did so in 1 second slower time carrying exactly a stone less than Frenchy that equates give or take to nearly 20 lengths. White noise came out this week and hacked up off a mark of 109. French emperor runs off 113. I put this useless tit bit in as to people who don't understand there's a bit more to it than that it's going to sound very fancy. For those who do understand i can only apologise as its 3 hours past my normal bedtime and I don't have the time or the inclination these days to do the rest of the work to see if there's any substance to that little nugget. So forgive me I've gotten lazy in my old age.

That aside French emperor looks a very decent value bet. Lucky bere might also run good race and follow him home for Kaley Woolacott who's horses aren't running badly at the moment considering the prices they have been going off at.

Feel free to pour a bit of sugar on me at will. Manged to get 14s this morning 20p R4 but made it a winning day. Shame matata fluffed the last and couldnt hang on for 2nd to at least and an exacta but no complaints with the winner. A winning day and will have a bit of cash in my wellies now for tomorrow.

Good run for El capitaine for Gordon amd good call from jinny with No Drama this end a very impressive winner and Slim with a winning nap not bad at all. Roll on the Paddy power. C'mon Conyers please dont be a boat!

I thought Fascile Mode had half a chance in the Troytown and, if he jumps better and stays, 25/1 is too big in the 2.55 on Sunday.

No need to thank me, I'm all about helping Black Country Munchkins afford brollies and stay out of the rain lest they shrink still further.

A lot you'd know about the Troytown.

Ian in the last few days without realising it you've selected the slowest multiple that's ever going to be landed. From here on in it shall be called the Super boat treble.

Hung jury, Fascile mode, Ken roy. If that lands it'll keep you in tesco meal deal for the rest of your life.

Add Glengouly 2.20 Sunday for the Lucky 15.

It's a 3m1f Heavy ground Gowran Park winner running over 2m - I'm hoping by then the ground will so absolutely desperate it will literally be last man/woman (so long as they've still got a horse underneath them) standing.

Anyone know if they definitely sell tickets at the gate? I've left it too late to buy one online, it's only bringing up Sunday now.

**edit Looks like I can get a Tattersalls ticket still, I'll go for that - want to watch Hung Jury hang'em out to dry

You might be able to get an upgrade when you get there. They are not stating anywhere that they have sold out so perhaps they always keep a number back to get in via the gate.

Just had a call from a mate who was just leaving Cheltenham (21:00) he told me that the rain was biblical and had been since 16:00 the roads are awash

Cant find a suitable thread to moan.

Tuned into ‘Road To Cheltenham’ normally always an enjoyable watch.

See they’ve rolled out Josh Stacey this year doing social shit. If it aint broke dont fix it. Ruined a normally good show
