Nice field look to be going to post for this, with the return of last year's GC Hero, Inothewayurthinkin.

Personally see it difficult to look past Fact To File, to follow up last season's victory with another 1 against him name. I have a feeling the main danger may come from Gaelic Warrior on Sunday.

Fact To File
Fastorslow
Gaelic Warrior
Grangeclare West
Heart Wood
I Am Maximus
Inothewayurthinkin
James Du Berlais
Lecky Watson
Nick Rockett

I can't be the first one to say this, but great Username.

Not a race I'd be likely to have a bet in as not only the race fitness, but the current well being and form of, nearly all the entries is an unknown.

Anyone who takes a short price about any horse first time out, based on the assumption it will just pick up where if left off last season, is heading for long-term trouble.

Heart Wood should find at least one of the quality seasonal debutants too good but, if declared for this and a monster price, that might be of interest.

Fact To File: I think he can go off bigger depending on how straight Fastorslow is. Otherwise, what horse would you be afraid of?

Garlic Warrior: Wouldn’t trust him first time out after such a light campaign last season. He’s a horse who lives far better in people’s minds than he does in the formbook.

Fastorslow: Very dangerous. 9/2 underestimates how much this race is exactly what he wants.

Inothewayurthinkin: This isn’t his trip.

Heart Wood: He’s also entered at Ascot, but I suspect he could go straight to Kempton.

Everything else is hard to make any sort of case for.

For those who like to take into account which races, historically (from 2000 to now), runners in the John Durkan have come from the last renewal of and how they've subsequently performed.
It's all just another factor to consider but it looks quite significant if they're coming back from last year's race for another go.

Fastorslow still seems an underrated horse for some reason and if he is right for this he’s defo the bet at the prices but a year off will be hard to overcome. Trainer has said a few times that King George is the early season target so if it turns into a proper scrap this weekend they might be happy just to get him round sound and onto Kempton, if he goes there fit I’d want to be all over him

I don't buy the Kempton talk one bit. This is his race.

Personally I think Heart Wood will head straight to Kempton -the owners might have a few runners in England over the Christmas holidays.

Garlic Warrior has made me smile 😂

I see no reason to edit it for the rest of the season. He's so overrated He beat nothing in the Arkle because Danny Mullins decided to put Il Etait Temps into the roots of every fence.

I've gotten lazy I've just been hammering the Charlie Bigham range but obvs have to have the meals for 2 but just for one.

Well, I said Gaelic Warrior would be the biggest danger to Fact To File, but I didn't see him getting his head in front, that was a cracking ride from Paul Townend and a gutsy, gutsy performance from the winner.
