And so it came to pass that, on the 31st day, Walsey planned the Lucky 31 of doom.

Well done Billy, what a great achievement especially as they can only do 1 meeting a day.

That's what hit me about it how is it even possible now with that in mind. Amazing achievement. Thrilled for the lad in one sense but once you start achieving those standards and set the bar that high unfortunately people will be sitting on their perches waiting to pounce on every mistake he makes, every bad run he has, it's a lot of pressure on young shoulders imo and is a shame that tends to be the way of the world these days.

Blowing my own trumpet 🎺 here Danny I tipped him up on the old Jumping For Fun Forum as a future Champion after he had his 16th winner 😎😎

He always seemed to have star quality about him, I backed him many times when he was an apprentice, and have carried on backing him, as he always seemed to have a racing brain and was trying to do the best for connections.
I just hope he will have a good team around him that will keep him on track and steer him clear of trouble.

You blow away Gordon!

Actually I should really do the same the amount of lads I flag up on here from the point to point world - James Bowen, Connor Brace, Jack Tudor, Callum Pritchard, Rian Corcoran - in fact I was SO impressed with Rian that I even invented a whole new Rising Star award at our Wessex Point to Point Awards all the way back in 2023-24 season (we dragged him back from his summer stint riding out at Ballydoyle) so that we could encourage him and say "Hey, we've noticed you so even though you were beaten to the Novice title this year, we know it's only a matter of time!" Which he duly was.

And it's a real treat to watch them in the flesh in their early days as you really do sit up and take note. Such a great place to start out as the pressure is off and any mistakes they make, they can learn from without getting any abuse from punters as we're a nice lot who go pointing.... 🥰

Yeah he was a standout. I watched him win the Open on Itacare at Millborne St Andrew and he rode it like a mature rider but he was 16 and had had two winners at Wadebridge a few weeks previously. Mind you James Bowen did the same at Cothelstone literally a week after his first weekend riding ( a double at Howick on possibly his 16th birthday?) Both of them completely bossed the races I saw and bearing in mind there is a bit of a hierarchy amongst the riders, it made you sit up and take notice! You actually get goosebumps watching talented kids like this.
