Gold Cup was over 10 seconds faster than standard. Remaining races were much slower apart from the Mares chase which was 3.33 secs faster.

That's kind of my gripe as well. I had the runner up at all prices down from 20/1 and if Gaelic Warrior runs yesterday and F2F today Jano Baie wins the Gold Cup. Oh well, that's Racing.

I was standing next to him chatting to him as it happened. I had been giving him a running commentary (he chats to everyone happily) as he won't watch and I had just said "Yup you've got this in the bag now" But he was very dignified in his reaction. And it was obvious that the horse was quite the best he had ever had - so that's why I have followed him every since.

Have to say I am looking forward to Saratoga and Winston Junior potentially going chasing. Both really scopey big horses that are blessed with speed too.

Not sure what the plan is for him but remember Minella Study gave Winston Junior weight and a beating this season.
