I'm not sure of the strength of what he beat (the runner up is still a Maiden after numerous attempts), but I liked the manner in which Incredibolt won The Virginia Derby.

Next Saturday it all ramps up a notch with two 100pt qualifiers - the 1m1f Jeff Ruby Steaks (sic) at Turfway Park and the 1m1f110yds Louisiana Derby at Fair Grounds.

I wouldn't lay that - the runner up and third might hold down the form but if the fav in fourth actually ran to form I'd have Incredibolt already no more than a stone off where he'd need to be to have a right chance of winning it in an average year.
