Some of us were disappointed but I think he did us and the horse a favour, because travelling her to England in this weather wouldn't have been ideal. She'll be the outsider...

    I think it was Edgt, Danny. Personally I think Gullible's liking for Edith Pelham might not be misplaced. The worry I'd have is that her previous run was only three weeks ago but she is one of those who might handle the conditions.

    My take on Matata's form is that he has performed well when at or near the front in steadily run races. Might that happen for him on Friday? Probably not, because Jonbon will set a pace faster than that.
