They are all white now including I notice in Ireland. They used to be orange but the research showed that white was more visible for horses than orange so they all got changed. Plus hurdles are now filled with plastic rather than birch and I wonder if they are less forgiving too.

Absolutely! I was looking for The Wallpark who was a big price as he hadn't jumped well last time on his chase debut. He put in a few iffy jumps early and then just stayed where he was.
