The 2026 Imperial Cup Handicap Hurdle

I had several run-ins with CofCs back when I was training. I ripped into one at Brighton when I went there with a horse I fancied who needed good or better. It was bordering on soft. Owners insisted on running as they'd gone. Utter waste of time.

    The 2026 Cheltenham Gold Cup

I've long been a GW supporter. Seem to remember I was slapped down by a few on here after his run in the KG. So for that reason I hope he wins.

The 2026 Imperial Cup Handicap Hurdle

You might well ask!! I went back to the first post on here and it states they were going to water from Tuesday. Wolfie ran badly on that sort of ground at Cheltenham so it's not a surprise.

Well done - spoke to Wolfies owner and apparently they watered  and then the rain came. According to the jockey he was happy with him until the bottom of the hill when he fell in a bog. Think BFL was same story - cruising through the race then struggled to get home

That rain has certainly got into the ground. Wasn't to be with Wolfie - looked like he paid for the early pace in that ground. He didn't enjoy it at all at the Cheltenham Hunter Chase meeting so I would draw a line through that run. A shame but there you go.

    2026 In Memoriam (Racing people)

A very sad story that broke late yesterday https://www.racingpost.com/news/britain/amateur-jump-jockey-sam-lee-dies-aged-27-a8VMw9N7HIbH/ He had his problems but things were looking up and he had got his licence back after a ban. He only rode a winner recently at Larkhill. After the young...

So (as Danny has mentioned elsewhere) Fact To File swerves the GC and Romeo goes for the Brown Advisory.

What are you backing Today? Part 2

Yes you couldn't meet a nicer bloke. He invited me today but Sandown is such a trek from here and as I am doing Cheltenham on Tuesday, it was just too much of a stretch.

Wish you'd nudged me DO when the weights came out as I have just had so much going on that I missed your 25 which is a bit irritating in the extreme. Ah well - I was never one who made money on anything.

    New Point To Point Forum

Oh I love Martin - I never realised he was a course commentator until I saw him at the Cheltenham Evening meeting last May and he said "Oh just got to go and call this race" And then I heard him doing the commentating and putting on his posh voice. I think he's one of my most favourite people I...
