Quite often when checking a horse I look at the RP info on owners.

I notice a lot of horses have a history of ownership involving the same people but with different dates to notify changes in ownership to and from seemingly the same owner(s).

Why?

Is it a tax dodge or something?

This is something Coolmore especially get up to. Maybe after Alex Ferguson’s disgraceful behaviour in the Rock Of Gibraltar affair they feel the need to formally nail down every detail of ownership each time there’s the slightest change.
