City of Troy could just as easily run them into the ground or completely flop.

A much safer bet could be Notable Speech who will do for me @ 7/2
 
Shayryar in the Turf. This is a market to attack with no hopers like Emily Upjohn and Illinois towards the upper part of it and this horse was third last year in a much better renewal and was poorly ridden to boot.
 
Notable Speech seems to me to be very ground dependant and will have his ground at Del Mar.

City Of Troy is a short price to be that rarest of things - a Group 1 Turf horse who can also be a Grade 1 dirt horse in the Land Of The Free.
 
I have Notable Speech dwn as a short runner,and this track wjill suit admirably.
City Of Troy is drawn 1 andn needs to tuned in to bresk quickly from there

I had a look at the second fav against City Of Troy..too many got too close to him in his recent win. While the second should win the distaff the chances of him beating Coty of Troy must be slim
 
I'm a big Fierceness fan and have been since his impressive win in a highly-competitive renewal of the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Dirt last year.

But he'd already disappointed once before that, he got beat at fives on first time out this year and, though devastating in the Florida Derby, he flopped in the Kentucky Derby.

His subsequent wins in the Jim Dandy and the Travers offer hope, but he's neither truly outstanding nor entirely reliable.
 
Value wise there is very little for me to get involved. Only one that appeals is Starlust in the turf sprint. Ran his best race on good to firm at York on good to firm in the Nunthorpe. Better drawn his rivals here, so the 20/1 has some ew appeal.
 
The BC Mile is an absolute cracker. I hope Donnacha* wins with Porta but fear the Frenchie may be improving out of sight.

I can't have it that Emily Upjohn is a no hoper.

I reckon the Gosdens will have her spot on for this. She ran a good race last time on soft ground in France and a nice break could help. The better the ground the better her chance. She's very talented on her day.

I have always liked Rebels Romance but this looks a hotter contest to my naked eye than the renewal he won a couple years ago, and he's short enough in the betting.

Emily wins.
 
Gavin Cromwell runs an interesting one in juvenile fillies.
Plenty of race experience, well drawn and not a man for tilting at windmills.
Also Tony Martin has his first runner back from suspension in the last at Dundalk.
I doubt he will be handicapping it!
 
I had no idea Debbie Harry was singing about some fella who hadn't even been born yet all those years ago.

I'm guessing she copped the lot when Saxon Warrior won the 2,000 Guineas.

Anyway, looking forward to the Breeders' Cup.

I've had a go on Hill Road in the 11.45, at 33s.
Very impressive on debut. Trinity College has given the form a decent look.
Pitched in at G1 level over a shorter trip next time, probably found it a bit too much.
A little rest + the thing is, that he is bred to go on this surface.

I got the jist of it but things have changed since your post. Notable Speech who I did fancy until I realized he ran again and got stuffed look like he's Jekyll and Hyde character

So I am switching to Porto who looks certain to go close
