For the comments regarding the language my comments were tongue in cheek. I'm old school I don't like to use language in front of ladies personally. That said I don't like how easily offended people are and surely it's easier to ignore euros comments than complain about them. Everyone on here knows Euro is a good egg from what I've read on here Euros going through a tougher time than most so for me he can f bomb c bomb and say what he likes. If others disagree then fair enough but honestly if someone putting a naughty word on a forum is the biggest problem you've got then you're well blessed as you've got no real problems.
 
So I’m the female who reported the post in regard to the C word being used. In fact I also asked elsewhere on here for language to be curbed.

I’m not precious, I’m not a prude and there are times I swear like a trooper. I’ve worked in racing for 30 years and I’ve been called all sorts. But I don’t want to come on here and keep reading it.

I don't think people are easily offended, Danny. I think the point being made is that the c-word crosses a line for just about everybody.

Personally, I think it's reassuring in this day and age that there is a consensus of decency with regard to language on a public forum and it makes me all the more reassured to be part of it.
 
I know you were Jinny I saw you post about it. But if you from time to time if you swear like a trooper who decides and where do you draw the line ? Perhaps when you swear like a trooper you offend someone. Do you have to come on here and keep reading it ? I've read some of your posts a few years back and found them interesting but if they weren't of interest to me I'd just skip on unbothered by it. If on that day you decided to swear like a trooper I could think maybe jinnys had a bad day but still know you're a decent person. How long have you and Euro been posting on here together? I know I'm not as long standing as either of you on this forum but horse racing forums are close to my heart and they need all the help they can get with people who post quality content.
Complaining about one of the most frequent posters in my eyes is bad form. Like I said earlier if you've got the time to worry or complain about naughty words online then you lead a blessed life.
 
Like everyone else, I'm no stranger to industrial language, but I'd rather not read it here.

As previously stated by me and others, you don't need to be female to hold that position.

But the main thing for me is that I have thus far enjoyed Talking Horses because, unlike some forums (like the Betfair one) and some podcasts, it's not gratuitously offensive.

There are various people in racing I don't necessarily like, but that doesn't mean I want to read offensive nicknames others have given them.

As for the gentleman who has done such a splendid, modernising, revamp here, I think he is so far the perfect Pierluigi Collins of moderators - it's not the laissez-faire Wild West here where literally anything goes, but he very rarely intervenes and when he does it's with courtesy and the lightest of touches.

Plus the rules clearly apply to everyone, whether they have been here five days or 15 years.

What's not to like?

It was pretty much on 'par' and, overall, only 1.2s slower than Denman and only two lengths slower than 'par' at the line. SR says KK was faster than par at the 12th fence and it was after that that it eased "slightly".

'Par' is optimum time so the pace could not have been slow as suggested by some. It was no 'jog and sprint' but pretty much on 'par' throughout and I would suggest 'par' for a Hennessy is faster than for most staying races.

I’ve been on here for 20 years so have the t-shirt. People have come and people have gone. But I don’t come on here and get verbally abusive towards anyone be it a forum member or trainer or jockey (I have held a trainers licence...it is an unbelievably hard lifestyle) Euro has recently stepped over that line so I first of all called him out and then hit the report button which is what it is there for. It means, Guys, play decent. I am all for free opinions and free speech but not offensive language just because you’ve had a bad day. If you have, then walk away, cool off and come back afterwards.
