Champion Hurdle Road ToThread 24/25

Michael O'Leary won't give breeding value a 2ñd thought. His. number 1 priority is to have a Cheltenham winner and he's much more likely to achieve that by going for the mares.
There could be a better option for Brighterdaysahead to topple Constitution Hill if Nicky decides to send him for the Aintree Hurdle. Brighterdaysahead would be much better suited by the longer trip and with a chasing career beckoning there would be nothing to lose.

Tell us, Tanlic, how good was CH’s workout today? He pulled ten lengths clear of two horses that would scrape into the Fred Winter Juvenile.

Why the fuss? On the surface, there wasn’t really that much to see. I’d appreciate your insight, or any word from the yard.

Thank you.

"The Next Dawn Run " comes around once a decade or so if lucky.
Annie Power was potentially the last one until she lost a Stayers Hurdle by having the choke out, that finished any chasing career or if it didn't , the last flight fall the next year did.
Brighterdaysahead is the current edition.
Dawn Run needed a little luck to win both Championship races; Gaye Brief withdrawn from CH and the 7lb thing; heavy prolonged frost causing abandonments leading to some GC horses being short a gallop perhaps ( Brad's comment post race, now forgotten) . This mare will need luck to win a CH now with a fully fit CH to contend with.
There is still 14 days though, not wishing anyone misfortune .
Let's hope they all show up.

Constitution Hill 's away day couldn't have gone better. That's Nice and Aston Martini did their thing and he did his to the delight of all concerned.
The message was sent loud and clear that he's ready to take on all comers barring accidents between now and Champion Hurdle day.
Music to the ears of his fans less so to the ears of Gordon Elliot who's chances now of convincing Michael O'Leary to go Champion Hurdle must be greatly diminished.
For anyone interests Lulamba pleased Nico in a nice piece of work with Lucky Place and Captain Morgan later on on at the same venue.

Fair play to them I just hope she beats State Man home by someway and Constitution Hill beats her by 5 or 6 lengths and he hits that magical 183 rating. Lossiemouth is surely going mares now as it's there for the taking and Jack Kennedy can ride both...wishful thinking on my part 2 ND guessing Willie is crazy

It’s great that we can debate how this race pans out now, assuming Lossiemouth and Golden Ace go to the Mares.

I think BDA wins. CH simply is not the force of old, and probably incapable of reaching a mark of 170. CH’s jumping looks risky - is there an accident waiting to happen?

A combi tricast: BDA; State Man; Burdett Road.

Where has the question mark over Lossiemouth's participation come from, they have never even suggested otherwise and have been adamant that this has been the two year plan. Wishful thinking on CH backers is what it smacks of. Both mares as I said two months ago were never going anywhere else.

The same connections who said it was the Gold Cup or nothing all season with Vautour!

In all seriousness I can see her going to the Mares after the fall last time out.

There are actually some awful people out there who bet CH at 3/1 when he won the CH and have since bet CH at 12/1 never to win another CH!

Shameful - and they even use confusing acronyms when referring to it too!

Err, I'm one of them - come on, Brighterdaysahead! (and the rest of "the field") let's get this CH beat in the CH! 😂

I said earlier when it was announced Brighterdaysahead was going Champion Hurdle that if Lossiemouth went Mares Jack Kennedy could ride them both. I must have had a brain fart.
Paul Townend could of course ride State Man and Lossiemouth big question is who will ride what if they both go Champion Hurdle?
