Aftertiming thread

….don’t think the wind op has done anything for Foshan. Reckon he’ll be joining Spiders Bite at the home for retired horses soon…

Well done. I’m cursing myself for not backing him today. I backed one of the other outsiders and when I re read what is said about P of A I couldn’t understand why I hadn’t backed him, as he had the sort of profile that I look for in a big priced ew bet ( ie underexposed/could be anything).

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed watching Hector Crouch bring Frankies Dream from absolutely nowhere to win that race at York just now.

I backed it at 12s earlier in one yankee and will settle for the SP of 11/2 in the other yankee I did. I'm nicely in profit thanks to bagging the big priced winner earlier at York aswell, so I'll have a drink or two tonight.

The only thing to top this would have been tipping it on here, but I can't have it all!

I've actually one horse left in this bet, called Quest For Fun in the 5.00. It's trained by my bogie trainer, Tim Easterby, but you never know I guess. If it were to win it would be the best day I've had with my own selections for a while.

I'll approve your shameless post as I come on to post that I had Coppull there at 66s ew as well as the winner which I put in my compy. I'm happier now than I was after the first when there was rather a lot of stomping going on here!

I will risk the wrath of gullible with this post.

I did Docklands.i cashed out 25/1 and went back in at 33 /1.
Absolutely no problem with anyone in TFT's great Royal Ascot competition aftertiming but anyone who is not in it and aftertimes I think is just looking to build up their number of post's and are more to be pitied than shamed. ;) Luckily for me who I would imagine to be the worst culprit (never ever used to have a losing day) is on permanent "MUTE" to me so everyone is happy :cheerleader:

Oh but I am the very best aftertimer there is! I have a degree in it hence starting this thread. But that's part due to the fact I fear if I put them out in the public domain, it jinxses them so I don't. And often I will back horses as I see them as they are down at the start and by then it is too much of a faff to come on here and say anything.

In any case my betting is more about doing it for me but I think there are some great tipsters on here who are worth following. I'm more comfortable putting up something I see in a race which needs to be considered next time.

I just went into one of my accounts to check the Mutaawid bet had been settled and scrolled down to see the returns from today's other placers.

Lo and behold, there's a return from the other day - Never So Brave, which I'd backed at 15/2. It isn't written anywhere in my notes so I must have had some kind of flash of inspiration along the way.
