Aftertiming thread

Lay Belfrina earlier & of course it duly won. As there's a thread to use, here's my day's account balance as it now stands after being chipped away at this afternoon

Horse Racing: -£0.02
Total P&L: -£0.02

Nothing wrong with backing a good name.

Tremendous, Sim.

That probably covers your gas and lecy bill for the next week, eh.

Ex Beckett horse on the flat.

Did nothing over hurdles thus far, but obviously found some improvement today. And of course, it had a nice name.

I had a look at Seahouses 3 or 4 days ago after Barry Brennan had a 66-1 winner with Legendary Day. Just a look to see what else he had entered in upcoming races. Then totally forgot. Wouldn't have been able to see any logical beating of the Gifford horse, so not too painful.

Worth keeping some long term memory about this. The conclusion I arrived at after Legendary Day was that BB might be capable of pulling off another big-priced winner with a previously reasonable class flat racer for bigger stables. And he did. Just a lot quicker than I might have anticipated.

Well done Simmo, the big ones all count however you land on them.

I put on a 10p win super heinz costing 12 quid for racing at Lingfield today.

Not something I usually do, betting on the All Weather or on Sunday, but anyway.

Knocked in the first two winners at 9/2 and 22/1, which guaranteed my stake money back.

Then had three losers, but Billy the kid struck again for me with a 6/1 winner, which was his third of the day I believe.

So I now had three winners, 9/2, 22/1 and 6/1.

The last horse on this seven horse bet was 6/1 and if it wins I take 1K off the enemy for a 12 quid bet.

The seventh selection Sir Lawrence Graff gets beat a nose!!

Just another day at the office then...

Nevermind eh.

I’ve been having a bit of luck at the Newcastle AW meetings recently, specifically on the 5-6 furlong sprints. I mean, this actually sounds ridiculous, but just betting the four highest drawn horses in a combi tricast is yielding results. 24 bets per race at 25p is only £6, but I’ve had returns of 330/1 and 95/1.

The further they run on the straight mile, however, the draw bias seems to flip; so that the lower drawn numbers fill the places!

It seems as easy as shelling peas, no skill required whatsoever. But I have an idea that it would be only under very certain conditions that this might happen ie, when the course is running slow, and there are the optimum 10-12 runners. But it’s one to keep an eye on.
