No ante-post betting as yet, but this 3m cracker at Navan next Sunday has to have a thread - there are currently 36 in the race.

Fascile Mode, Pied Piper and, yes, Dunboyne, are the trio who first caught the eye.

One needs to jump better, another needs to put it in at the business end and the third isn't getting any younger, but I could see them all running races in what looks a cracker to me.

Had a look at this yesterday + I think Dunboyne could run well, with Cleatus Poolaw, as one who has potential to improve over fences.
I was trying to get a friend to buy Cleatus Poolaw to go pointing at the end of last season. He didn't take me up on the suggestion. Shame.

7.30am inspection tomorrow
Let's hope the clerk doesn't go on strike before then.

'Up my pay 20 percent or I won't get out of bed, let alone conduct an inspection', said the honourable clerk.

The wet liberal tree hugging middle classes, they're more militant in the U. K these days than a seagull keen on pinching your fish and chips.

I digress.

As the world's leading authority on the Troytown, a contest I have had a deep love of and historical affinity with, dating all the way back to....Tuesday's confirmation stage, I shall be providing the TH Massive with the reverse forecast just before post time on Sunday should the race go ahead.

There is absolutely no need to thank me for this latest selfless gesture - I'm all about promoting Anglo-Irish relations, despite my recent 38th consecutive failed application for Irish citizenship.

I think it's fantastic today's card will be staged on Monday, providing yet another reason why Bob Geldof should stop trashing a tremendous day of the week (doesn't he know the entries for Saturday AND Sunday in the UK are published that day?)

I remain hopeful about tomorrow's Troytown card getting the go ahead - fingers crossed.

As the world's leading authority on the Troytown,
Apologies for interrupting the blowing of your own trumpet  but I obviously mistakenly thought that perhaps Gordon Elliot might hold that title. But maybe winning the race from 2014-2017 and also having 3 wins 2021, 2023 & 2024 + 2nd in 2020 & 3rd in 2022 still doesn't give him the depth of knowledge you have ;):ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:(y)

Fancied Beaufort Scale for the amateurs at Cheltenham today after the way he stayed on there at the showcase meeting on faster ground. Out the handicap by a couple of pounds tomorrow 7lb claimer on so really is carrying a featherweight and has first time headgear for the guy who owns this race. 22/1 5 places was worth a rattle.
