What never ceases to surprise me is the inability of some to recognise banter.
If they're not taking offence by taking things said to them both literally and personally, they're taking offence at things they witness people saying to others.
Slim insults me most days of the week, me and Walsworth have been taking the p**s out of each other on this and another forum for years.
And yet these are two of my favourite people online.
It's often said sarcasm is the lowest form of wit - if so, how come so many spectacularly and consistently fail to recognise it when it occurs?
While we can all react how we wish and draw our own personal lines in the sand, I recommend chilling out, ceasing to so readily take personal offence, and certainly ceasing to take offence on behalf of others (for who it may all be water off a duck's back) as it can make you look particularly daft.
Oh, and stop trying to leverage your popularity by publicly discussing leaving the forum if you're feeling put upon, so everyone rushes to give you a "don't go!" cyber cuddle - it makes for a particularly unedifying sorry spectacle.
If I ever decide I've had enough here (sorry, any haters, I love TH - not going anywhere anytime soon), I'll just quietly f**k off with precisely zero pre-exit stage left histrionics.
It's Christmas, but that doesn't meant there have to be snowflakes.
So grow a pair, chill the absolute f**k out, and have a good one everybody!
