One thing i'd say about Mambonumberfive, impressive as he was last time, his chief market rival Lump Sum picked up a season ending injury in the race.

I'm sorry to hear that but I honestly don't think his form stacked up.

Sandown is scheduled to go ahead with the original card, by the way, following this morning's inspection, with the caveat that further heavy rain may lead to a further inspection.

I haven't looked at - and have no intention to do so - today's Wincanton card but they've apparently moved the rails and fences (to the centre of the track) out, presumably to give the inner ground some recovery time. Between the heavy ground and the extra distances to be covered I reckon you'll want mudlovers and bags of stamina at the trip for the respective races.
