    Pip Payne

Very sad indeed. I followed horses such as Ya Malak and Nice One Clare of his a few years back. Condolences to his family and friends.

    Hayley Turner stood down 1year

Seems as though she is on a good 2yo for her comeback then - Prompter. It looks as though she'll make the seemingly obligatory winning return to the saddle.

Broke his shoulder and was put to sleep.

    Queen Anne Stakes

Wasn't it something to do with Spacious? She worked under Robert Winston instead of Spencer last summer, though I cannot remember why they were unhappy with him. He hasn't ridden for them at all this season.

    Queen Anne Stakes

Didn't Spencer lose all rides for Cheveley Park if I remember rightly?

The Derby & Irish Derby 2009

Obviously not. Down to run in the 'classic trial' at Sandown on Friday.

The Derby & Irish Derby 2009

Chris/Flame, sorry to again ask something of you, but is there any sinister reason for Saptapadi's absence at Newbury today? I am presuming there is a physical problem as he was down as an n/r yesterday!

The Derby & Irish Derby 2009

So is Harbinger really that good then?! ;) I have seen (on another forum) someone giving favourable mentions to a horse called South Easter of Willie Haggas'. I see he is down for the same race as Harbinger on Weds, though is also down for a couple of other races next week. Have you heard...

The Derby & Irish Derby 2009

Flame, may I enquire into the whereabouts of a certain Highland Glen, who I seemed to remember you suggested a Derby horse last season but he was taken out of it at the next entries stage and has barely been spoken of since his first run. Any news?

    2000 Guineas

I remember mentioning Delegator on here a few months ago for this race. It seems as though he is on course for the race, providing all goes well in the Craven.

    2 Year olds 2009

To be my experienced but untrained eye, I thought the third horse was very green and wasn't given a hard ride. Think he could be one to watch and note he was napped by Newmarket in the Post today! His name was Thomas Baines.

Much appreciated Flame. Good to hear he is back in training. :)

Thank you once again Flame. I await for the reply with interest.

    2000 Guineas

Thanks for all that Flame. Insightful as ever, though not what I suppose I would have wanted to hear but best hear it now than later. I will perhaps have another look around before deciding where to go.

    Foolin Myself

I hope you don't mind me bumping this back up and it is early in the year but does anybody have any news on him? Thanks in advance.

    Dubai Racing Carnival

I can never fathom out the carnival. I struck lucky last season and backed Before You Go at 25/1 for a race but that is because I followed it when he ran for Terry Mills and had a spare fiver knocking about!

    2000 Guineas

How about Delegator? I know Brian Meehan already has Control Zone, Crowded House and Skanky Biscuit who are all arguably classic prospects but I liked the way he ran in the Dewhurst Stakes considering his lack of racing experience at a higher level and he won really well at Newmarket the time...

    2yo's To Follow

Thanks for that Chris. I have had a small each way bet on the Hills horse, so happy to hear they expect a decent showing if not a winning debut.

    2yo's To Follow

Chris, I see both Alhaque and North East Corner compete in the same race tomorrow at HQ. Any thoughts??? ;)
