I've learned the hard way from my mistakes. It took awhile to sink it but it did eventually. You'd see a '2 horse race' on paper, e.g 1.7 and 2.5, you don't like the 1.7 and you back the 2.5 and something else wins. Happened to me numerous times so now if I don't like something I'll just lay it.

Last bet of the 'day' for me until this evening. 2.25 Newbury, Kings Odyssey. Around 3.55 backing it to win. Ran off 139 in a class 1 and class 2. A decent 2nd last time and the handicapper's upped it to 141. It is more of a 'place' horse but if it's going to win a race it needs to win one...

A few decent bets lined up for today. Start off with a minor lay for a place bet, 11.50 Southwell, Father Mckenzie, I don't think the horse will win. I'm hoping it won't reach a place too, laying around 2.2 for the place.

I wasn't going to have another bet today but in the 7.15, So High, the price is huge at 2.66 so I'm going to have a win bet on it.

I really can't see it being odds against on the day. I hope I'm wrong. I'm on at 2.0/2.04 and 6/4 with ladbrokes. If the race was priced up 4/5 BD and 3/1 Samcro I'd still back BD. Just my opinion but to see Samcro at it's best I'd like to see it run at 2m4f at least or 2m5f.

Kemboy 9/2 join fav with some bookies, I'm literally amazed. I thought it would be 7 or 8/1. I was going to lay for a place but if I could lay at 5.0 on the exchange I think I might do it. I'm just convinced it won't stay strongly over the 3miles with so many proven highly rated stayers in the race.
