    The 2025 Belmont Stakes

Didn't bother with Khaadem. Little value imo. Had a bet on Hill Road 17s on the machine. Well done Dettori n Hawkeye.

Thinking about yesterdays 80/1 winner at Newbury, Into the Night. What's everyones thoughts. I was mightily impressed. Market leaders were 2nd, 3rd + 4th. I suppose it's only a matter of time before Watthan or anyone else comes knocking.

    The 2025 Belmont Stakes

Looking at Kentucky tomorrow night. Wimbledon Hawkeye looks very short at 7/4. May find the ground a bit too quick as well. Hill Road interests me a bit. Stepping down in grade + back on turf. ( Derby 22.46 ). In the sprint ( 21.52 ) I reckon Khaadem has been targeted at this since runner up...

Just when you think the BHA can't get any more stupid and deluded.....

Anyway. As someone who retired earlier this year. I intend to make use of my local bookie this coming NH season. Probably starting early December. I can go, make myself comfortable, drink endless tea, coffee, bring a sandwich + talk absolute bollocks to all n sundry, whenever I feel the need...

Just when you think the BHA can't get any more stupid and deluded.....

Yep. Pubs open all day, is a main issue. When they used to shut at 3 ( or whatever time ) on Saturdays. A lot of us would flock to the bookies. Pick up winnings, swap hard luck stories, congratulate the odd big winner who had it off + then try + crack the remaining few races. There was...

    The 2025 Ebor Handicap

Good point. He's good enough to be competitive in the graded staying races at Meydan. Will get his ideal conditions. Going left handed, good ground etc. I think Willie plundered a big prize over there recently with a filly Hollie Doyle rode, so it's not unchartered territory for him.

    The 2025 Ebor Handicap

Definitely a good race in him. I've watched the finish of the race a few times this morning. One smack of the whip 1f out , then nothing. Just hands n heels. Not too vigorous either.

    The 2025 Ebor Handicap

He won that very impressively + is obviously improving. I imagine his hurdling campaign will be ground dependent. Ge wouldn't want it on the soft side. As DO alludes. Something better than the County hurdle would be considered. Potentially some soft graded hurdle races here.

Just about to set off from Leeds + brave the hordes. Try + fund a pub afterwards for the Leeds Arsenal game. That's the price she's paying for not taking yesterday off work + not going then 😆

    The 2025 Ebor Handicap

Enemy now gone 50s. I'll have a bit of that as well. I put up a case for him in the Shergar Cup, but as you said they crawled round + went no pace. I personally think the Cesareawitch may be his target, but he's so well handicapped now, I can't ignore him when there's a big pot going.

They rarely work out when I'm well over the odds, as has happened twice this week. We'll soon find out.
