    The 2025 Cesarewitch (Handicap)

You've got me going, guys. My reverse forecast/tricast shall be, Belgravian, Mordor and Surrey Belle.

What are you backing Today? Part 2

Newmarket 3.30 Elsass could run well, if being upped in class and distance suits, as I think it might. He's been plenty keen enough in his races to date, so I feel a stronger gallop is what he might show his best form on. Admittedly some guesswork involved, but he's a longshot price, so worth a...

Do you ever back a horse to lay at a shorter price in running? Or is it just all out lay?

Only having a bit of craic with you mate. Keep laying.

I reckon he stops because its gone past his bed time in whatever country this dude resides in. :).

    The 2025 Cesarewitch (Handicap)

Surrey Belle is my roughie to run well. He beat Spinning Wheel who won yesterday cosily by 8L last time. He's in the form of his life. It's a step up in class though. He likes to be up there, so maybe a back-to-lay possibility for the Betfairians among us.

I'm still looking to resurrect his 'will place' thread.

    The 2025 Cesarewitch (Handicap)

A shame the corporate giants only go 4 places ante post on this race, when most will go at least 5 places on the day or after final declarations. No balls.

He needs gelding, Reet. He could be some horse if they did that. Please see the 'certified nuts thread'.

    The 2025 Cesarewitch (Handicap)

I've got my eye on a 'roughie' down the bottom, Slim. I've even considered finding the 'will place' thread, if I can find it that is, nearer the time.

    The 2025 Cesarewitch (Handicap)

Calling Ian, (a bit like what they say about Donald Trump, you can take this seriously, but not literally). There were 24 runners in this contest last year, but 31 runners the year before. Henceforth, what is the maximum amount of runners that can run in this race this year please, (no, I...

Be interesting if they keep Daryz in training next season.

What are you backing Today? Part 2

Curragh 4.35 Ohailbhic - A nice break off the track after a dismal effort the last day, but if rebuilding on prior run when fifth at Cork, may be worth taking big odds about here.

I hear you, fella. We've had (or we had) a very liberalised gambling sector. Each and every year that goes by now is a case of the nanny state trying to claw back controls, that some would say they were too easy to de-regulate or give away in the first place. The proliferation of gaming adverts...

ITV don't control the bookmakers, Pawras. They provide the coverage. When you say, "focus much more on the various betting angles", can you expand on what you mean by that, or give an example? If anyone needs to know how and when to place lay the dual Derby winner successfully they can always...

    TV coverage

Exactly. It's no coincidence racing biggest 'selling point' race is the Grand National, also one of the longest races on the calendar. The simple fact is it's a tricky sport to sell to many people because the actual events don't last very long. 35 minutes build up to a race that lasts 60...

    TV coverage

Indeed. Were it for whatever reason taken off terrestrial tele for good that would be a shame. As you say, whatever about the in between, they do actually show horse racing.
