I think Fortunedeforunata is a fair price for a repeat win in the National trial on Sunday. Punchestown 2.30.

    Rendlesham Hurdle 2026

Only value angle I can see is, if an on form Beauport sets out to make it a stiff test of stamina, on heavy ground.

Backing Venetia Williams' Chasers In November with Andrew Mount

I remember a similar boot filling conversation heading into spring last season, regarding P. Nicholls. Apart from Sans Bruis at Aintree, it didn't really happen. Don't think Venetia has the ammo + I personally wrote her season off before Christmas.

The Official Constitution Hill Thread 2025/26

A marvellous book + film, about the pressures of a new college football coach in a small Texas town. Dealing with the hopes, dreams + expectations of the local populace. A beautiful soundtrack as well by the ambient rock band Explosions in the Sky.

Pre race, was looking at Irancy as a possible County hurdle plot job given better ground. Hope todays exertion haven't taken its toll.

The 2026 William Hill Handicap Hurdle

Zarkander was the other Nicholls top weight who won this. He was rated 151 + we all remember he was just short of top class. I'll be very surpised if TQ goes for the champion.. looks a prospect for the Arkle next season though.

    Amateur Jockey Races Thread

Maybe not an amateur, but over in Ireland Micheal Kennally seems to be making himself heard. Looks like full value for his 7, but the bookies seem to have cottoned on already. I wonder whether he'll get some nice handicap rides at the festival.

The 2026 William Hill Handicap Hurdle

No, but at the price I'm attempting some ew thievery. Reproduces his run in this race last season, or his Greatwood this. He should be in the frame again.

The 2026 William Hill Handicap Hurdle

I'm not really getting it how a class 4 handicap at Ascot, in November is going to have a big bearing on this class 1 handicap here. Of the market leaders, Twyston Davis horse obviously had an impossible task trying to give 6lb to Old Grange Star. Third home that day, wasn't beaten far in a G2...
