2025 Fulke Welwyn Kim Muir Challenge Cup Amateur Jockeys' Handicap Chase

Now Is The Hour has more than one option, but would interest me if aimed at this, but he is currently favourite for the NH Chase.

I know it's boring, but as stated as nauseum I was at Windsor when Johnnywho last ran and I liked what I saw with a view to a race like this.

He was OR 138 over hurdles and I think he's potentially a fair bit better than his current OR 140 over fences.

He looks absurdly short on what he's done so far in Chases, but I could see starting even shorter.

Some may remember I was on Walking On Air at a gigantic price in the Great Yorkshire only to see him fall at the last when imo coming to win the race.

He's up 4lb and is no price now.

I was at Windsor for Johnnywho's last outing and he wasn't exactly given a hard race.

He and Sa Majeste command respect because of the facile gamble that was landed in the same colours last year in this.

Sine Nomine is reunited with her regular Hunters' Chases pilot and may outrun her odds.

But I think Midnight Our Fred might be the one they all have to beat.

He will have to show more interest than last time but Git maker 16/1 makes some appeal.2nd last year.
Also done my old favourite yeah man.
Be interesting to see how Git Maker travels early on. He was out the back of the tele last time.

I hope he doesn't drop off the screen again tomorrow for his backers, then stay on for third, with everyone then pointing towards his chance in the Scottish National or Whitbred!

Again, I’ve highlighted the first-season novices and good hurdlers. With this race you also have to factor in jockeyship and O’Connor is the best so it’s no surorise that Johnnywho is prominent in the betting and a gamble could well develop. 15/2 was the best price I could get. I’ll have Sa Majesté as back-up since he could have the second best rider. I’ll have smaller bets on the others at the best odds and terms.

A double whammy for me. I backed Daily Present in the race last year. Maybe the better ground helped today.

Am I the only one who thought Johnnywho took a false step going to the last and then seemed to look around him after it. Was he thinking about that mistake (which cost him the race). I hope it isn't lame.
