30% off King George tickets for the next week

Very if you're already in the center of London Granger but assuming you fly into Gatwick you'll need two trains, changing at Clapham Junction and each train is about 30 mins so with changeover you'll be looking at about an hour and half.

If you're not travelling alone then a taxi wouldn't be that expensive to share and would take about 40 mins providing you're not travelling at peak times, which being a bank holiday is less likely. It's just a short-ish hop round the M25 (5 junctions), if such a things exists...

aren’t there limited (no) trains on Boxing Day?

Heathrow is under 10 miles & would be cheap enough in a private hire or Uber

Mrs Perpetual will be chauffeuring me and the extended family!

Didn't realise you could get Dublin flghts to Heathrow as I only use it for long haul but agreed it's an infinitely better option and a fairly short taxi ride, albeit the flights look slightly more expensive than to Gatwick.

and good point re the trains on Boxing day, I forgot about that.

I was travelling overland one year from the continent to Dublin on St Stephen's Day. After arriving in Dover by ferry at around 9.30 local time the plan was to drop into Kempton on the swing around London. Not a chance, I had to listen to the big race while stuck in traffic on the M25.

Heathrow will always be more expensive because it's Heathrow! Might be worth checking out the buses in lieu of lack of trains as Taxis will probably charge you a small mortgage.

Heathrow to Kempton is an incredibly easy drive and won't cost more than £20 unless you get a black cab.

From Gatwick in an Uber will set you back about £45
