1.Abbey Scope … 5yo ( G ) Trained by Nicky Richards
  • Winner of his only start to date when taking a Kelso Bumper back in the spring by a shade over three lengths, beating the Tom Lacey trained Jimmy Hurdstrom. Abbey Scope is a half brother to two winners and should have little difficulty in finding winning opportunities in the North when sent over hurdles. There’s every chance that he’ll stay further than the minimum trip with a bit more experience behind him.
2. Be Aware … 6yo ( G ) Trained by Dan Skelton
  • Has consistently ran well without winning since taking a maiden hurdle on his debut in January of 2024, and as a result his official rating has jumped from a mark of 123 up to one of 137. My guess is that he will be sent over fences this season, and there’s no reason to suggest that he won’t prove equally as good over the larger obstacles. Be Aware stays at least two and a half miles, and is effective on both a soft surface and good ground.
3. Castle Carrock … 6yo ( G ) Trained by Alan King
  • A lightly raced son of Mahler with just the four career starts behind him – winning a Bumper and a novice hurdle, before being highly tried in Grade 2 & Grade 1 company for his latest two outings. Castle Carrock is probably still open to better, and should be placed to good effect in the months ahead – be it over hurdles or fences. He acts on soft ground and a sounder surface.
4. Catch On Me … 5yo ( G ) Trained by Venetia Williams
  • Finished a well beaten seventh at Taunton on his only run since arriving from France early on in 2025, but has been given a long rest by his new trainer. Catch On Me was a winner on the flat in his native land over almost fourteen furlongs, and in time may well need further than two miles over hurdles to show his best. He appears well suited to testing conditions – like many of the Williams runners do, and it would be no surprise to see him leave that Taunton effort way behind over the winter.
5. Court In The Act … 6yo ( G ) Trained by Harry Derham
  • Court In The Act is a lovely genuine individual who has won a Bumper, and has also been successful three times from eight outings over hurdles. He looks the type to make a nice novice chaser for the new season, and there’s every chance that he will prove at least equally as good over fences. There’s no doubt his best form to date has been on decent ground, so it maybe best to tread carefully if conditions are particularly testing.
6. Double Powerful … 6yo ( G ) Trained by Neil Mulholland
  • Double Powerful was a big improver over hurdles last season – increasing his official rating from one of just 93 to ending the campaign on a mark of 134, winning four times and ending his season with a career best performance with a third place in a competitive handicap at the Aintree Grand National meeting – beaten just a length and a half in total by Deep Cave & Timmy Tuesday. I imagine he will be schooled over fences before the new season and that maybe the path to take. He’s thoroughly genuine and stays at least three miles.
7. Gidge … 5yo ( M ) Trained by Fergal O’Brien
  • Runner up in a Mares Bumper at Uttoxeter in mid March on her only outing to date. Gidge should have no problem finding suitable opportunities to get off the mark in the coming months. She’s a half sister to the stable’s star Crambo, and while she is likely to start off over two miles she should certainly appreciate further in time and with a bit more experience under her belt. Her pedigree suggests that she wouldn’t want the ground too lively.
8. Harbour Island … 6yo ( G ) Trained by Olly Murphy
  • Looks a bit of a slow maturer to me, and may well be open to plenty of improvement when sent over hurdles. That said, Harbour Island has won both his starts so far - taking Bumpers at Wetherby in late December and at Ffos Las in mid April. His dam ( Saroushka ) by Westerner has bred four other winning offspring, and Harbour Light should have no trouble staying at least two and a half miles in time. Looking forward to his return to action.
9. Heaven Can Wait … 4yo ( G ) Trained by Ben Brookhouse
  • Definite signs of ability when finishing a five lengths fourth of thirteen in a Uttoxeter Bumper won by the Dan Skelton trained Double Measure towards the end of March, on his only outing last season. Despite looking somewhat green that day he stayed on late after appearing a little outpaced approaching the two furlong marker. Very much a dark horse at this stage, but will hopefully possess enough to find his way to the winners enclosure at some stage over the course of the season.
10. Hot Fuss … 4yo ( G ) Trained by Tom Dascombe
  • Hot Fuss has more of a flat pedigree than a National Hunt one, being by the late two times G2 winning sprinter out of a Galileo mare. That said he appears to stay the two miles trip quite well over hurdles, and won last season at Sandown on soft and also finished runner up at Wincanton. His final outing saw him finish a respectable fourth in the Fred Winter Juvenile at the Cheltenham festival, meaning he will start the new season from a mark of 124. That appears a fair assessment and hopefully Hot Fuss will be up to adding to his tally in the coming months.

NH 50 To Follow 2025/26 Numbers 11 to 20

11. Jackie Hobbs … 5yo ( M ) Trained by Harry Derham
  • Won a Mares P2P for four year olds at Monksgrange at the end of March 2024 before being purchased by the Noel Fehily racing syndicate and joining Harry Derham. Jackie Hobbs won her first two Bumpers at Ludlow and Ascot – creating a good impression, enough so for connections to send her to Aintree for her final start of the season. At Aintree she probably underperformed a little, finishing only ninth of twenty beaten a shade over twelve lengths behind the winner Seo Linn. She remains of interest for the new season, and there’s no reason to suggest that she won’t take to hurdling.
12. Japetus … 4yo ( G ) Trained by Nicky Richards
  • A Juddmonte Farms castoff without ever racing for them, and hailing from a very good German family on the sire’s side ( Sea The Moon ) , Japetus potentially looks a novice hurdler to follow in the north this winter. Japetus was a promising second on his debut to Kiwi Rush at Kelso, before winning both his other Bumpers last season at Newcastle & Hexham – on the latter occasion pulling eleven lengths and upwards clear of his rivals. Will be monitored with great interest.
13. Jeriko Du Reponet … 6yo ( G ) Trained by Nicky Henderson
  • Initial plans were for a novice chase campaign last season, that was until after his debut at Sandown in November where he was pulled up after his jumping had gone to pot ( was reported to have got upset while being saddled ). Kept to hurdling he showed there were no ill effects of the Sandown run, and improved as the season went by – particularly for a step up to around three miles. Jeriko Du Reponet finished runner up to Doddiethegreat in the Pertemps Final at the Cheltenham festival and then turned the tables when they met at Punchestown a few weeks later. Hopefully he will take to fences this season and the obvious long range aim would be the Brown Advisory next March, for which he is around a 33/1 shot at the time of writing.
14. Jimbo Sport … 6yo ( G ) Trained by Ben Pauling
  • Showed some ability in Point to Points when trained in Ireland, finishing runner up twice in three outings, before joining his current yard for £28k last December. He immediately repaid a small amount of the purchase cost when taking a Hereford Bumper on his only run under rules. Jimbo Sport is unlikely to prove a worldbeater, but should be placed to the best of his ability by Pauling, and will hopefully be open to improvement with so few miles on the clock.
15. Jimmy Hurdstrom … 5yo ( G ) Trained by Tom Lacey
  • Successful in a Maiden Point in the spring of 2024, Jimmy Hurdstrom showed steady progress in a trio of Bumpers last season – finishing runner up on his two most recent starts, at Kelso last time out to another of the fifty – the Nicky Richards trained Abbey Scope. He’s sure to benefit from a summer behind him, and I’ll be disappointed if he doesn’t show some improvement for a step up in trip and hurdles to jump. He is yet to race on any extremes of going but clearly acts on ground officially described as Good.
16. Kalkbrenner … 5yo ( G ) Trained by Ben Pauling
  • Won a Maiden Point for 4yo’s last December when trained in Ireland – a contest in which four other winners emerged from, before joining Ben Pauling in the Spring for £120k. One run for his new yard saw Kalkbrenner run a respectable five and a half lengths fourth in an Ayr Bumper. The form is nothing to shout about, but Kalkbrenner looked a little backward that day and he can only improve for more experience. I’d imagine he may take in another Bumper or two before being sent over hurdles. He should stay at least 2m 4f in time, and will hopefully pick up a race or two for his followers.
17. Kefir D’Oudairies … 5yo ( G ) Trained by Olly Murphy
  • Kefir D’Oudairies showed a very likable attitude when narrowly collecting a Fakenham Bumper on his second outing in February, following a fair effort when runner up at Hereford some eleven weeks earlier. He’s the first foal of an unraced French bred mare, and by a sire ( Seahenge ) that was successful in Group 2 company as a juvenile for Aiden O’Brien back in 2017. I would think that trips of around two miles may prove best in the immediate future and I will be somewhat surprised if he can’t pick up a race or two over hurdles this winter.
18. Kingbel Du Lion … 5yo ( G ) Trained by Venetia Williams
  • Won with any amount in hand when taking a three runner maiden hurdle at Bangor over just shy of 2m 4f last winter on his only run since arriving from France. Open to plenty of improvement as he gains experience, and should stay further in time. Now in the ownership of Susanna Ricci, he can add to that tally when the mud is flying – has only ran on ground described a heavy so far.
19. Kilwaughter … 5yo ( G ) Trained by Philip Hobbs & Johnson White
  • Highly tried on his two outings for his new connections, but respectable efforts nonetheless at Aintree ( 6th ) and Punchestown ( 3rd ) following a Down Royal success for previous trainer Stuart Crawford. Kilwaughter should have little difficulty finding a race in maiden or novice company over hurdles, and is a half brother to no less than six other winners. May well be best being kept to trips close to two miles for the immediate future.
20. La Conquiere … 6yo ( M ) Trained by Jamie Snowden
  • Runner up at Thurles at 80/1 for Denis Leahy, before joining Jamie Snowden at his Lambourn base. La Conquiere filled the same spot for her new connections when beaten just half a length by Seo Linn in the mares Grade 2 event at the Aintree festival. She looks an obvious one for the mares novice hurdles over the winter, and it will be a surprise if she can’t visit the winners enclosure at some stage. Both she and Seo Linn look nice mares for the new campaign.

NH 50 To Follow 2025/26 Numbers 21 to 30

21. Lancelot Allen … 4yo ( G ) Trained by Jane Williams
  • By the 2006 Arc winner Rail Link, out of a French bred dam that has produced two other winners to date, Lancelot Allen did well to win at Bangor on his debut despite looking as if the outing would do him no end of good. He was given a long rest of around three months and then pitched in in much deeper company, where in fairness he looked well outclassed beating only one horse home in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham. A summer behind him can only be beneficial, and Lancelot Allen can hopefully develop when sent over hurdles if mot too highly tried. His Bangor win came on soft ground.
22. La Pinsonniere … 5yo ( M ) Trained by Nicky Henderson
  • A genuine and consistent mare who has only finished outside of the first three only once in ten starts ( when trained in France ), since joining Henderson La Pinsonniere has won a maiden hurdle at Huntingdon and finished runner up on each of her other four outings. She’s effective at two miles, but probably better at around a half mile further and appears ideally suited to a Good to Soft surface. She would be of interest if sent over fences this term – her one start over the larger obstacles saw her finish runner up at Angers in the spring of 2024 – but should also remain competitive if kept over hurdles. A likable type going forward.
23. Magical King … 6yo ( G ) Trained by Stuart Edmunds
  • Has only won the once over hurdles, but in eleven runs has finished in the first three on eight occasions. Magical King is best served at trips of between two and a half & three miles, and has been included in the fifty as a potential novice chaser for the new season. He acts on just about any type of going, and is one of those horses that always gives his best. Hopefully a return to the winners circle is not too far away.
24. My Noble Lord … 4yo ( G ) Trained by Oliver Greenall & Josh Guerriero
  • Unlikely to prove a headline maker for his owner J.P McManus but should prove up to winning again over hurdles in handicap company. Winner of one of his five starts over timber so far My Noble Lord will start the campaign from an official mark of 116 but hopefully will prove to have a few pounds in hand. He may also be worth another try at further than two miles at some stage, and appears best served by Good to Soft conditions. A big individual that has the size to jump a fence one day, although that maybe for another season.
25. Nazare … 5yo ( G ) Trained by James Owen
  • Fair form shown in Bumpers, winning at Huntingdon in January – sandwiched between a brace of runner up spots at Southwell, so his hurdling debut at Newbury in March when a well beaten third behind Queensbury Boy may seem a little disappointing. Possibly he was just feeling the effects of three races in just over three months, maybe he wasn’t ready for the step up to 2m 4f – it’s difficult to tell with young horses. Either way he remains of interest when he returns, I’d imagine he could well start back over two miles before being given another try at further. He should prove up to winning races.
26. No Drama This End … 5yo ( G ) Trained by Paul Nicholls
  • Finished only in midfield in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham on ground that may not have been soft enough, that was on the back of an impressive success at Warwick at the end of December when easily taking care of the touted Skelton runner Keops Des Bordes. No Drama This End is also a Point winner over three miles on soft at Badbury Rings when trained by Will Biddick. He looks a novice hurdler to follow, and should be suited to at least 2m 4f.
27. One Big Bang … 7yo ( G ) Trained by James Owen
  • One Big Bang has finished in the frame in seven of his sixteen outings over hurdles – winning three of them, and improved his official rating last season by some ten pounds to one of 134. Given his age I would suggest the plan would be to send him over fences this term, and he looks the type to be at least equally as good at that game. One Big Bang is likely to require some give in the ground to be seen at his best, and he looks a staying novice chaser to follow under suitable conditions over the winter.
28. Out Of The Woods … 5yo ( G ) Trained by Lucinda Russell
  • Caused a surprise when winning at 16/1 at Ayr on his debut in January, before finishing a five lengths sixth of ten at Kelso behind the Fergal O’Brien trained Is This For Real almost eleven weeks later. Looks open to improvement when sent over hurdles and should stay further as he gains experience. Should be up to collecting a small race on the northern circuit.
29. Pethers Lane … 4yo ( G ) Trained by Jane Williams
  • Successful on his only racecourse appearance when taking a Bumper at Exeter on soft ground on the first day of January 2025, it won’t have been the strongest of contests – but the runner up Kripticjim franked the form next time out when taking a similar race over C&D a few weeks later. Pethers Lane can only benefit from a summer behind him, and is in good hands to be placed to the best of his ability. He may well take in another Bumper before embarking on a hurdling campaign where he should prove up to taking a race in maiden or novice company.
30. Queenofthejukebox … 5yo ( M ) Trained by Noel Williams
  • Winner of two of her four starts to date, and also finished a fair fifth of ten in a Mares Listed Bumper at Market Rasen from four outings last season. Looks a nice prospect for mares novice hurdles for the new season, and her progress will be monitored closely. Queenofthejukebox appears well served by Good to Soft conditions, but it’s also interesting to note that she ran a close second on testing conditions on her only run in the Pointing fields in Ireland. She will be worth a try at further than two miles at some stage.

NH 50 To Follow 2025/26 Numbers 31 to 40

31. Roaring Conquest … 6yo ( G ) Trained by Olly Murphy
  • Winner of a maiden hurdle at Lingfield in December over two miles three and a half furlongs, and was then raised in class when stepped up in distance – finishing a respectable nine lengths third of six in a Grade 2 event at Haydock, but appearing a little over the top for the season when a well beaten ninth behind the Willie Mullins trained Kiss Will at Perth in April. Rising Conquest is worth another try at three miles and it’s likely that he will be seen over fences this winter. He should be up to winning again if not too highly tried.
32. Rock Sensation … 5yo ( M ) Trained by Ben Pauling
  • There was enough to like about Rock Sensation’s Bumper win at Southwell to warrant inclusion in the fifty, staying on well in the final furlong she beat Service Minimum by a shade under two lengths. That was only her second ever start under rules, some 86 days after her Uttoxeter debut where she ran too freely to finish seventh. Rock Sensation gave the impression that she will stay further over hurdles, however that’s not to say she won’t have the speed to win over two miles initially. She is yet to race on any extremes of going.
33. Rosscahill … 6yo ( G ) Trained by Nigel & Willy Twiston – Davies
  • Rosscahill looks a nice one for a staying novice chase campaign this season. Successful in a Maiden Point to Point for four years olds in Ireland before joining the Twiston – Davies team, he certainly looks to be going the right way, with two wins from three runs over hurdles. A summer behind him should be a huge benefit as when last seen in January he still appeared far from the finished article. Rosscahill promises to be better over fences than the 120 rated over timber, and under testing conditions may just be the type to run up a sequence.
34. Royal Rambler … 5yo ( G ) Trained by Emma Lavelle
  • Steady progress in four outings over hurdles to date, and will start the new season from an official rating of 127 – a mark that looks fair enough and one which he can be competitive from if connections decide to stay over hurdles. However, it wouldn’t surprise me if a novice chase campaign could be on the cards – his dam won over fences ( twice in France ), as too did his half brother Pimlico Point. Trips of up to three miles should prove ideal and he appears to go well with some give in the going.
35. Shabalko d’Herm … 5yo ( G ) Trained by Nigel & Willy Twiston – Davies
  • Second of three in a Market Rasen Bumper on his only outing under rules so far, beaten three lengths by Constantinian. This came around five and a half months after taking a Toomebridge Maiden P2P in good style – so much so that his new connections had to go to £140k to secure the horse at the Tatts Cheltenham mixed sales in mid November. Shabalko d’Herm looks a future chaser and like many of these will improve for more experience, he will stay at least 2m 4f. Looks a winner waiting to happen under rules.
36. Sherminator … 4yo ( G ) Trained by Harry Fry
  • Won a Junior hurdle at Newbury in mid January for Emma Lavelle after showing some promise in a couple of Bumpers, before joining Harry Fry a couple of months later. Sherminator was successful on his only start for his new trainer when taking a similar race at Taunton, with probably a little more in hand than the three lengths margin from the Hobbs & White trained Red N Yellow suggested. He will start the new season on a mark of 118, he’s a good jumper and I doubt we’ve seen the best of him just yet.
37. Siog Geal … 6yo ( M ) Trained by Fergal O’Brien
  • Siog Geal is a lovely, genuine and improving mare. She definitely appeared better suited to around two and a half miles than shorter when getting the better of the useful Nicky Henderson trained mare La Pinsonniere on Good ground at Newbury in the spring. There’s no reason why Siog Geal cannot continue to progress this season, although I would air on the side of caution if she encounters heavy going for the first time. Sure to win more races for his cake loving trainer.
38. Sir Hobnob … 4yo ( G ) Trained by Nigel & Willy Twiston – Davies
  • Never better than midfield on his debut at Kempton in March when finishing seventh behind Trustintimes, but got off the mark around four weeks later when taking an ordinary looking Bumper at Bangor, beating the Charlie Longsdon newcomer Hay Max by a couple of lengths. Sir Hobnob looks another promising youngster for the father & son combination, and is sure to be placed to the best of his ability – not only with this season in mind but also the future.
39. Sober Glory … 5yo ( G ) Trained by Philip Hobbs & Johnson White
  • Looks an exciting prospect for the new season. Sober Glory is unbeaten in four runs to date – a maiden Point to Point for four year olds when trained in Ireland, and a trio of Bumpers at Chepstow, Exeter and Newbury, the most recent outing being a competitive Listed contest – that by the end of the season had contained the winners of thirteen races in total under rules. Sober Glory looks well suited to soft conditions and has every chance of progressing further when sent over hurdles.
40. Star Of Diamonds … 6yo ( G ) Trained by Emma Lavelle
  • May not be the most obvious of contenders at first glance for a horses to follow list on what he achieved in three runs in maiden hurdles last season, finishing fourth twice and a well beaten fifth at Uttoxeter when racing somewhat flat. Owned by Andrew Gemmell – a long standing patron with Emma Lavelle, Star Of Diamonds doesn’t have many miles on the clock and showed he has ability when taking a Point to Point at Quakerstown in the spring of 2024. He received an opening handicap mark of 108 after that third outing – a thirteen lengths fourth at Chepstow, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he proves better than that in time. He stats three miles and acts of soft going.

NH 50 To Follow 2025/26 Numbers 41 to 50

41. Stone’s Throw … 5yo ( G ) Trained by Billy Aprahamian
  • Got off the mark over hurdles at the fifth time of asking, when taking a maiden contest over just shy of three miles at Uttoxeter in late March. He appeared well suited to the step up in trip after looking a little one paced over shorter distances. Stone’s Throw will start the new season from a mark of 111 and is likely to be aimed at staying handicaps within the right company – but it will come as no surprise if his rating increases over the course of the season.
42. Storming George … 5yo ( G ) Trained by Neil King
  • Storming George took a Bumper at Doncaster in fair fashion on his racecourse debut in January – causing a 25/1 surprise. His only other appearance came when upped in class for the Grade 2 contest at the Aintree Grand National meeting, running a very respectable fifth behind the Willie Mullins trained winner Green Splendour. He looks set for a novice hurdling campaign this season and will hopefully be placed to good effect. He promises to stay further than two miles as he gains experience, and his Doncaster success came on Good to Soft.
43. Tashan … 4yo ( G ) Trained by Emma Lavelle
  • Unbeaten in two outings for his current trainer, following a narrow defeat on his racecourse debut for John Butler. Tashan got the better of the Dan Skelton trained Denzil by a length and a quarter at Warwick in receipt of seven pounds, and then beat that same rival at Taunton three weeks later by seven and a half lengths under a penalty. Being by Golden Horn I would expect that Tashan will stay further than the minimum trip - he looks to be going the right way and is in good hands to have his potential maximised. He’s unraced since December, and possibly maybe unsuited to deep winter going.
44. There Runs Mary … 5yo ( M ) Trained by Olly Murphy
  • An 80k euro foal, with the price rising to 105k euro around two and a half years later when sold at the Tatts Ireland Derby Sale. There Runs Mary has a proper jumping pedigree – being by Flemensfirth out of a mare by King’s Theatre, and is a full sister to the four times winner She’s A Fine Wine. There Runs Mary took an ordinary looking maiden Bumper on her debut in January, before being upped in class to contest a six runner contest at Newbury – where she was beaten just under three lengths behind the promising looking Heron In The Park. She looks a natural for the mares novice hurdle scene this season and it will be a surprise if she can’t be competitive.
45. Tiddesley Wood … 5yo ( G ) Trained by Fergal O’Brien
  • Hinted at some ability in a brace of Bumpers last season without getting his head in front, which may not turn out to be the biggest of surprises as he will most likely prove better at further than two miles. He’s by Sir Percy, out of the useful mare Doyly Carte who was rated at 140 at her peak and was successful over hurdles at almost two and a half miles. Tiddesley Wood will hopefully learn to settle better in his races, and he should do as he gains experience. Can be found a race or two over hurdles in ordinary company.
46. Un Sens A La Vie … 5yo ( G ) Trained by Nigel & Willy Twiston – Davies
  • Successful in a Irish Point to Point for four year olds back in October last year, and sold the following month for the sum of £180k at the Tatts Cheltenham ( Mixed ) Sale. Un Sens A La Vie had just the one outing for the Twiston – Davies team when taking a Market Rasen Bumper during the third week of February, by around three and a half lengths from the Fergal O’Brien trained Espresso Milan – but in honesty the winning distance probably didn’t justify the superiority. He falls into the bracket ‘ could be anything ‘ , and has lots of potential – may well prove considerably better than the bare form of his Market Rasen win.
47. Upon Tweed … 5yo ( G ) Trained by Nicky Richards
  • Winner of his only start to date in February, taking a Newcastle Bumper in good style by eight and a half lengths from Conman John - who had won an Irish P2P by twenty lengths around eleven weeks earlier. Rested after that run, most likely with the future in mind, Upon Tweed looks a nice prospect for northern novice hurdles. He’s by the classy flat performer Berkshire, and is a half brother to the former smart hurdler / chaser If In Doubt. He should stay at least 2m 4f this term and possibly further in the future. Looks one to monitor closely.
48. Uptown Dandy … 5yo ( G ) Trained by Ben Pauling
  • Yet to get his head in front when it matters, but showed promise in three Bumpers last term – with his best effort coming when a close third at Exeter on heavy ground in February. He’s another that looks sure to stay further when faced with hurdles to jump, and is in good hands to be found winning opportunities.
49. Wilstar … 5yo ( G ) Trained by Olly Murphy
  • Created plenty of interest when fetching 250k euro at the Tatts Ire’ Derby Sale in the summer of 2023, but only made his racecourse debut back in the spring – some nine months later. That debut was fair, if somewhat unspectacular – a third of fourteen at Warwick beaten almost five lengths in total behind the promising Destination Dubai, and showed clear signs of greenness. Wilstar got off the mark at the second time of asking when taking a Perth Bumper, and clearly progressed for the experience. A half brother to both Douvan & Jonbon who are both by Walk In The Park, this son of Doctor Dino looks set for a good season as a novice over timber – but at this stage it would be far too much to expect him to be anywhere near as good as his half siblings.
50. Windbeneathmywings … 5yo ( G ) Trained by David Pipe
  • Windbeneathmywings went into just about everybody’s notebook on the back of his impressive fourteen lengths success at Ascot on his debut for the stable, this followed on from a promising pair of Bumper runs in Ireland – winning at the second time of asking at Listowel. Unfortunately things didn’t go straightforward after Ascot and Windbeneathmywings had a setback which resulted him missing the remainder of the season. He’s a relentless galloper, but doesn’t look short of pace and his return is eagerly anticipated. Potentially the best horse that Pipe has had for some time, and hopefully last season’s setback has no lasting effects. He is quoted at around 25/1 for both the Supreme Novices and the Turners Novices Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, and it would be nice to think that he could develop into a candidate for either of those races.

Jackie Hobbs a winner today - opened at 4/1 yesterday Won SP 13/8

No Reply This End - a good winner for the list today at 5/1
